Want some advice

Ok I'm new to this forum andim sure this topic has been worn out, but I'm going to ask anyway haha. I take great care of my cars but I want to jump on the band wagon. I've never tried a rinseless wash but I'm going to now. I do have a few questions however. What is the process I follow? Do you literally just mix it up go to town cleaning (on a dry car???) then wipe it off? For obvious reasons it makes me nervous haha. Next question is which product is best? Seems to me Optimum has the best reputation, is this true? Basically I just want some clarification/recommendation on the whole rinseless process. Thanks in advance guys!
 
Well different people have different methods. I personally will just put 2 gallons of water in 1 bucket with a grit gaurd. Then fill another bucket with 2 gallons of water and an ounce of Optimum no Rinse. Then I dip my wash mitt in the bucket with the ONR and wash one panel and then dry. The dirt will cling to the wash mit so put it in the wash bucket with the grit gaurd and rub it on there to loosen up the thick dirt. Dip back in ONR solution and do the next panel. Just keep repeating.
Some people do it slightly different like fill a garden sprayer with the ONR solution and spray the car down beforehand and then use the steps I mentioned.
Once you do it you will get the hang of it and find out it's a peice of cake. You will get addicted.
There is also debate on weather you should do it on a really dirty car or not. If I have tons of salt on my car or haven't washed it in a long time I will go to the local self serve car wash and just spray the heavy stuff down on the rinse cycle, take it home and do an ONR wash.

Thanks for all the help guys! I live in an apartment so this is much needed haha. How dirty is "to dirty" for a rinseless wash?
