Wanted: Active forum members in Southern California


Just like the title says. In January we're going to be filming in the Los Angeles area. We like to reward our forum members who are active on this forum and contribute in a positive manner.


We have some projects coming up where we're going to need some people to be a part of our Competition Ready Team and priority goes to these three groups in this order,

1. Alumni students of our Competition Ready Detailing Classes
2. ACTIVE positive contributing members of our forum
3. IDA Certified Detailers

I'd love to be part of the team. I've never been to Florida, so I haven't been part of the Competition Ready Detailing Class, but I have attended both the Detailing 101 Class and the Advanced Paint Care Clinic that you started during your time at Meguiars in Irvine, CA.

To me that shows you're an active member on this forum. This is important because so many of the guys on our first season are not active on this forum so we don't get any "interaction" from them after the fact.

This is why I'm looking for people that are already active and have a history that shows they have staying power.


Facebook is fleeting, that is stuff posted to Facebook is gone in minutes. Forums are forever, there's simply more bang for the buck in every way with a forum over FB.

I've added your name to my list, nothing is finalized at this time I'm just being proactive before we roll into January of 2017

The Classic Auto Show Celebrity Guests

The teams selected for the two episodes we're shooting in the Los Angeles area will have their work on display at The Classic Auto Show. We may actually be detailing a car AT THE SHOW!

Pretty cool stuff.



And my favorite part is having friends on show.


So yeah, looking for a few of our forum members that have been active on this forum over the years to have some fun, detail some cars, hang out with Chip, Dave, Mike, Wayne and Chris and be on our TV show.

We're filming two episodes in SoCal in January. The dates so far are,

Wednesday, January 25th

Thursday, January 26th



These will be 2 different episodes, two different cars. Very high caliber vehicles.


Both cars will then be on display at The Classic Auto Show.


I'm going to need a total of 8 guys besides myself and AJ.


Priority will go to

1. Alumni Students of Competition Ready Detailing Classes.
2. Active members on this forum.
3. Members of the IDA.
4. First time on the show.

We will be sending out a newsletter to all past Competition Ready students or CR Alumni as anyone that has attended our Competition Ready 3-day detailing classes has first right of refusal to be on one of the teams for our TV show.

The exception is our goal is to have as many people on the show as possible so first timers get priority over anyone that has already been on the show.

It's good to see Meguiar's still has these classes I started way back in 2002 still going. My guess is thousands of guys have been through these classes and there's a LOT of shiny swirl-free cars because of them.

Thanks Dave. I already have you on my standby list. You were a great asset on the Petersen Museum episode as were all the team members. I'm going to try to have as many new people on the show as possible because I like to share this type of opportunity with as many of my fellow detailers as I can. That's how I roll.
