If you frequent a dry cleaners ask them for some of their old ones. I have those neat 3 gallon buckets that are easy to maneuvure and easy to empty/refill
I've gotten them from the deli down the street to, but they smelt like pickles for a month
Can the wheels be locked so it doesn't roll?
any deas to put some wheels on those HD, Lowes, PJ White buckets? Any kind of dolly or suttin?
I built a dolley to hold both of my buckets. Four wheels with two that lock. Works great.
Well Flash you and I are the only frugal ones here I guess. I use the 3 gallons ones sourced from a local donut shop, label says apple fritter something. Anyhow they sell me 3 for a buck. GG's fit great, 3 gallons is plenty to wash a car with.

When I got mine, it came with the casters separate. If you don't want them, don't put them in.Can the wheels be locked so it doesn't roll?
Oh I see...Houses has some advantages...Minus all the bills...:xyxthumbs:
Very true. However i do envy the fact you can get back from the office and do whatever work on your car as needed.
In my case, I have to be mobile to get myself to a wash bay/ garage.
City life still has its benefits though.

I have one green pickle bucket left from many I pilfered in the 70's when I worked at a Mr. Steak restaurant in college. Used them for years but 2 disappeared as in my kids took them. I use it to hold all my mitts, wheel brushes and such, Just wash out of the 3 gallon ones I get. This subject comes up every few months. I'm usually the only one using pickle buckets. I think all the hip kids call this being green?
The 3 gallon buckets are the only way to go IMO :autowash:

The only green I am enamored with is cold hard cash.

I don't have a picture or blueprints. Get your buckets, a 2x4 and a piece of plywood. Put your buckets how you want them and cut the 2x4s to make a frame.
Sounds like the apples didn't fall far from the tree. He took the buckets from the steak restaurant and his children took them from him.It gives me a great deal of satisfaction knowing I can get something for little or nothing by just being a little creative
Sorry to hear your kids lost your buckets. I'm sure it was nothing personel
