Wash mitts

I've been using the Cobra Chenille wash mitts and I really like them. That being said they are falling apart after being washed twice....

Same thing happened to mine except it was after only one wash.

It's a shame cause like I said I really like the them. But I know you said in another post you have not been thrilled with the Cobra products. I'll be looking for another mitt that is similar to that one.

Honestly the best one I found is a dark blue one from Walmart. I have used the crap out of that thing, it still looks and feels like new.

:iagree: And it doesn't scratch any paint.... I know, my 68 Olds has super soft paint and they work great on it with no marring.

I think I may need to take a trip to Wally World...

AG says your not supposed to wash them in the washing machine. I had the inside a a couple come apart, foam everywhere. I just don't like the idea of not washing them after cleaning a dirty car. Rinsing them out only goes so far.

LOL it fell apart while USING it for the first time. I'm talking about the older ones without the foam inside.

As I mentioned on a post above I've started using the grout sponges from Home Depot. With all the talk about the Lowes Proline sponges I stopped by today and bought a couple. To my surprise the one from Home Depot is a better softer sponge! It's the one that says "Made in Germany".

Best,

Jose

Somebody suggested the following.
Take a grout sponge and score one side with a utility knife to form approximately 1/2" squares. Works like the LC sponge

I have used this for both ONR and regular washes and it really works great

i fell in love with the zymol sponge. better than the lake country by miles. lake country too hard to use around the mirrors and door handle....

Picked up chenile sponges and mitts from local Ace Hardware...I try to buy local if I can. Seems like everything else comes from AG

Is this the one from Wal Mart that you are talking about for $4.87 plus tax? "Microfibre Wash Mitt, 8"x10", Soap and Suds with a soft touch, by Hometex, item#78793"

Thank You!

My griot's microfiber I used last night... and I noticed that one of the strands, well actually a couple in the same spot, have become hard. Guess its time to cut those off!
