Been using my new Edge as my bowhunting vehicle this season. We are getting lots of rain here and the muddy roads are killin me!!! After a few days, the whole body is coated with a nice thick layer of mud. After spraying the heck out of it at the local coin wash there is always that thin layer of dirt that the pressure washer just can't remove. What is the best approach to washing this layer off without scratching the clearcoat? This ride always has a nice coat of Duragloss 105/601.

Are you able to wash at home? A normal two bucket wash with good wash mitts should do it, a foam gun or cannon would help, but I wouldn't go buy one just for this. You could also clay it.

The normal two bucket method will work just fine. Just use a good sudsy/slippery wash solution. An ONR wash will work fine too.

I get that layer on my truck all the time in the summer, I use Chemical Guy's Citrus Wash & Gloss or Meguiar's Gold Class Shampoo with the Meguiar's wash mitt with no issues.

The key to all of this though is having good washing technique.

This is pretty much how I do it right now with DG901. Maybe I just need to drive a little slower but it's hard to contain that pre-hunt excitement!!!!
