Washing microfiber

I feel one of the most important things to consider is the pre-treatment of your towels prior to washing. After I use my towels I place them in a hot water solution with Oxiclean stain remover. It is considered a "free" cleaner because it has no perfume, chlorine or dyes. I let the towels soak for a couple hours and then wash using a dedicated microfiber cleaner (I like CG and Blackfire at 1 ounce per medium load and 2 ounces for large). I use vinegar during my second rinse cycle. Whenever possible I line dry my towels outside - as long as the wind is not blowing. I've been able to use some MF towels effectively for up to seven years this way.

I do this for particularly filthy cloths, which i keep in a different wash batch from my normal usage.... I also do it once or twice a year for a DEEP DEEP MF cleaning and have found the results to be good.

But as i mentioned before, i think a brief pre-wash, then 30 min soak, then regular wash wash [with machine on longest/dirtiest was cycle] does go quite a long ways in helping to permeate the grime and break it up for the actual washing.

This will also clear any sort of bleach, softener, or other wash agents you might use. MY GF loves to add these fragrance dots to the towels, takes a good hot wash to clear that stuff out.

Just pour it into the soap bin. I have the same thing, Top loader.Sometimes if really dirty or a heavy load I will put it on deepwater soak soak for 10 mins too.
Ok great, thanks a lot! Going to wash tomorrow when I get my last couple towels in. I plan on throwing my Guzzler in there as well with my other MFs.
