I looked up on the form about washing pads in washer with no real definitive answer. I just bought some LC Hydro tech and sadly couldn't clean them as well as I like. Was on a tight schedule. They have been in my car for over 48 hours now. I did clean them best I could but know theres still product in them. Was thinking machine wash with warm water and spray some XMT pad cleaner. Also have washer on delicate. Any thoughts?
Feed back please

Give it a go, I machine washed all my LC pads, no problem. Temp 40C degree.

As long as you wash just the pads it should be fine. I've never done it though...

I have washed all my pads in the washing machine with no problems. Just remember to let them dry face down, so the water doesn't exit through the Velcro backed side. You should be OK.

I just wash mine by hand. But a lot of people do wash them in the machine.

i have always washed mine by hand with DAWN...and they always came clean for me. I have tried washing pads in the washing machine before the MF pads and they didnt come clean to well..especially down in the foam below the fibers...you could feel there was product down in there.

Mine have only seen the washer...for years. They will be just fine.

So should I wash them in a washer, or use the Pinnacle pad conditioner?

Or do you think the Bucket Pad Washer is the best method?

Before I had a pad washer, I would use XMT pad cleaner after I used them. After returning home I put them on the "hand wash" cycle by them selves. Never had an issue. Now I keep a bucket filled with 3 gallons water and DP pad rej. They are soaked immediately after uising them. Once the detail is over, they are cleaned in the pad cleaner bucket before I leave the site. I also use that same DP solution to throw my Mirco fibers in . They soak for about 2hrs then I throw them in the wash on rinse and spit. I'm done and ready to roll the next day.

I've always washed by hand I feel its a safer/better way? I guess I just like seeing them come clean Idk :-) I've used dawn as many do but really any dish soap even scented specifically apple scent lol works great and depending on pad & product a quick spray of APC example polishes/compounds seem to clean up much easier than say wax/sealants.. never had a problem both on foam/wool been cleaning them this way for years!! *JUST RINSE WELL* and can't be said enough dry Velcro side up:xyxthumbs:

Best method ive found is to pre soak them in a 5 gallon bucket together with my microfiber towels with a mixture of any APC (i use simple green) and a capful or to of your preferred microfiber wash product. I let them soak anywhere from 30 min to day depending on how nasty they are. i then wash them all together in my washing machine with my preferred microfiber wash and do a double rinse cycle. No matter what products you use just make sure you rinse well and you'll be fine.

Do you guys throw them into the dryer? I had problems when I threw couple of mine in.

Dryer may be dangerous for the pads & Velcro because of heat ...!

I'll throw mine in the dryer but only for 5-10 minutes. After that they air dry
