Washington, D.C.

Do a search on him here and he has a forum also. Also talk to a few others on here like rwright, cee dog, and drak horse, they seem to know him well.

sounds like he's a legend.

Well, I would certainly never speak for someone else but I'm not sure how open he would be to having his brain picked.

That is why I want to meet up with him and pick his brain.

Not sure that is likely at the moment ...

Asphalt Rockets is Dana, I met him at a detailing meet here in Northern Virginia about 2 years ago, he is a really nice guy, is very knowledgeable about detailing and everything it encompasses. Took the time to show me some techniques at the detailing meet that definitely helped me out. I'm not sure he posts much on here anymore, I think he is over on the TID forum.

Is there a group meeting up or something? I live right in Arlington.

A tour of NoVA I believe. Oddly enough part of my request was none other than Georgetown Cupcake aka DC Cupcakes tv show. My wife is really into baking so this is for her. Got to see the National Cathedral last night along with the presidential motorcade closer than I really wanted. As I was standing on the sidewalk waiting for Dana to pick me up, the motorcade blasted by so fast I could feel the wind off each car and probably could have reached out and touched each one...

I forgot to tell you about DC Cupcake.

Go to Nando's Peri Peri in Chinatown. Thats the place where someone got the hot sauce and sent it to Mike.

Go to Ben's Chili Bowl before you leave.

+1000 very seldom on the east coast anymore but used to have a client in Arlington and would drive there for lunch, needless to say it was always a long lunch.

Ben's is a must see/stop landmark in D.C. They have a Ben's at Fedex field now and I think they're getting ready to open another spot up.

Nice to meet you rwright.

Likewise. My tour of NoVA was cool and the visit to the legendary palace was pretty cool as well. Got to see the well equipped woodworking shop, the garage that houses a beautiful Z06 and a tuned Mustang (Cobra?), huge tv's throughout, lots of detailing goodies, and all the bottles of Coca Cola a person could ever want. Oh, my wife's cupcakes survived!
