watch this before buying any snow foam

Makes perfect sense info you're using a bright colored soap. Seen it being used in the U.K. But haven't seen them being used here. I only use Reset and Hydrofoam.
 
Long video but it is something to consider. Perhaps manufacturers will take note. I never had this happen, but the gentleman makes a very legit point. Thanks for posting!
 
Thanks for posting. Never had to deal with staining but the points are all valid. Maybe his engine was too hot at the time?
 
Interesting. I use Reset and D110 which certainly do not suffer from being "too colorful". The D110 is a reddish color but it hasn't changed the color of anything for me. But then again I haven't looked for an discoloring of any kind.
 
A real eye opener. As stated, does not seem like a problem here.
 
Yes, some very interesting information that I never really thought about but like previously mentioned, I don't use nor even know about any heavily dyed soaps here. Good ole Red Dye #7!!!
 
Of course, I'm guessing this guy is using some type UK APC like snow foam - which have much lower dilution ratios - which means, whatever dye is in them is going to be significantly more concentrated compared to the products we use here...

Really, I can't think of one USA marketed "snow foam" diluted "a few ozs: 32" this would be an issue with.
 
That is VERY dark snowfoam. Interesting video. I believe all my soaps I use are very light and have little or no dye in them.
 
using any colored type of colored car soap i'm guessing can contribute to this. i used optimum car soap in a foam cannon once and when i popped the hood the next wash their was blue car soap all over (mainly rubber gasket) that was dried up and wouldn't rub off without agitation and some apc. the point being no matter which car soap you use, you need to make sure and rinse/wipe it off anywhere it can linger after you are done...
