Water spot remover

Number 1: Should I remove water spots before compounding and polishing or will they come off during the process. Are they going to take away from the cleaning power of the compounding and polishing.

Number 2: What's a water sport remover that would do the job, not looking for a uber expenisve one. Just one that's a decent price that will get the job done.

I assume that over the many years that millions of detailers many millions of times have had no choice but to do things "the old fashioned way", by using compounds and polishes to do such. And it of course works, but....

I would also assume that one works harder to remove such nasties from paint, and in the process, the paint, specifically paint thickness may suffer.

Today, we have so many choices of great products to safely decon paint, and just like Iron, Sap, Tar, Paint, etc., I again assume water spotting (Calcium-Minerals) is just one more form of surface contaminant that should be removed prior to undertaking further paint refinement steps such as claying, compounding, polishing, and sealing.

I've recenty gotten the Carpro Water Spot Remover, and it seems to do its intended job quite well.

Something with acid.. Maybe 3d waterspot remover? We use stuff from a local company called spot not.

If I was in your shoes I would take care of water spots etching etc first then do a IPA wipe down of the area and carry out the polishing steps though if your looking for a cheap water spot remover try looking in pepboys they have a meguiars water spot remover it works decent in my opinion

well theres carpro water spot remover and there meguiars water spot remover. So just out of curiosity what would be the best water spot remover you can buy, price is not an issue if really works well
