I get mine at Home Depot, they come in little plastic bags with a couple steel wool pads. On the package it will say the grade, like #0000 (which would be #4).

hey, a pitted windshield - gets dirty fast. was towed behind a motorhome. how can my husband get it to repel dirt? i already had him clay it and it is not worth replacing..
ideas?

If he already clayed, I would use #0000 Steel Wool and some AIO, it will bead for months, I just redid my truck's glass a week or so ago but it was still beading from an AIO application done back in April. I have a little process I'll writeup so you'll know how to use the wool w/o marring the glass. As far as pits, nothing you can really do, but AIO and a topping like AW will work wonders.
