From what I understand, water softners won't stop water spots. They work but exchanging calcium carbonate for sodium chloride (primarily). Sodium chloride is still a mineral (salt) and will still leave spots. However, the spots are "softer" than calcium chloride and ate easier to remove, the generally just wipe off if caught quickly.

see this is were im lost cause the other dealerships here use the same system and dont hand dry and dont have water spots. How quick to wipe off cause those pics are from 2 hrs ago and truck has been in sun i just wiped and took this one.

I'm just telling you the mechanism behind a water softner. Maybe their source water has less "hard minerals" in it. A de-ionizer removes everything from the water (ionic content) and with that tool you can theoretically not hand dry in the sun and get no spots. How much did you pay for the softner?

im renting it and i spray cars off at night. just weird how they has same thing and do fine. i mean ya u will get water spots but not like this. They do wipe off. i just rinsed my truck off with city water ill take pics of those water spots.
