Or water less wash or rinse less what's the best solution to use ? I've been looking leaning towards chemical guys but looked at detail kings also unless you guys have a better suggestion... Also I'm looking for a product that I'll be able to use it in cold temperatures of Michigan weather

I think you'll be fine with anything you pick up at autogeek. I currently am finishing up on my gallon of Optimum No rinse and when this is out I think I'm going to try this the duragloss with aqua wax!

I'm 45 minutes outside of Chicago and wash in my garage. Anything should work just fine, you just may want to hit a coin operated wash to knock the nasty off and finish up with a no rinse in your garage.

Duragloss Rinseless Wash with Aquawax, no rinse car wash, rinseless auto wash

As wn1988 noted there are many, many good products today.

Also I'm looking for a product that I'll be able to use it in cold temperatures of Michigan weather

These products are still water-based and are going to freeze at somewhere not too far south of 32°F.

Waterless and rinseless are different. Both have their pros and cons. In terms of which is more effective at removing surface contaminants, rinseless wins there for me.

My favorite rinesless wash is Wolfgang Uber Rinseless Wash by a long shot. You can use it as many different products (including waterless wash) and many different solutions. Although it appears more expensive, it is highly concentrated and the dilution ratios actually make it cheaper than other products on the market. You can read Mike's review here and my first impressions here.

I appreciate this info but see I live in a apartment no garage and I know some of my clients have garages but don't use them for they vehicles and some don't have garages at all

I have used ONR and BF rinseless outside here in MI when temps were reasonable. I simply use a hot dilution which worked really well. They were often followed up with some type of spray wax that did streak sometimes but a follow up wipe down worked great.

Hmm. I don't think I understand. What limitation are you running into?

Anything dissolved in water...
serves as an "anti-freeze".
Therefore: the more the anti-freeze,
the lower the freeze-point of water.

First step:
The very act of adding ONR to water...at its
RW dilution ratio...will lower water's freeze-point.

Secondly:
Adding other (compatible) substances that are
soluble in the ONR-RW mixture may very well
act to further lower its freeze-point. (Depends
on how serious you are wanting to remove road
salt from the vehicle.)

I'm thinking along these lines of soluble substances:

•"Ethanol products": 80 Proof Vodka (can also be
used as a potent potable when deemed necessary)
•Glycerin: available at most drug stores.
(It even prevents freezing in hydraulic jacks)

IMO, rinsless is safer, therefore better, than waterless. So I'd recommend a rinsless to look for.

If you haven't tried Optimum No Rinse (ONR), you should, it's the gateway rinsless wash. I also have heard (I bought some, but haven't used up my ONR yet) that Wolfgang's rinsless wash is a good product as well. Check out the reviews in the product review section. I don't imagine there's much of a difference in freezing temp between products.

Without a heated garage there isn't much you can do. Your not only battling the air, but also the surface temp of the vehicle. If you can park the vehicle in the sun, it will work to your benefit. As mentioned, use warm to hot water.

While Bob is correct, most additives will help lowering frezzing point, I've found ONR to still freeze close to 32* anyways. Maybe if you were too add more it would help, but then ONR gets streaky.

Get a good set of water proof gloves!

Work as fast as you safely can, doing small sections at a time (wash&dry).

I'm a fan of Meguiar's D114 Rinse Free Express Wash. Main reason being the lack of gloss enhancers/wax. I deal with a lot of coated vehicles, and the fact that I'm not putting a substandard "wax" on top of the coating makes me happy.

You may not like what I have to say.why kill yourself doing that in the cold,I would run the car through the car wash any inflicted swirls just deal with them in the spring, and if you do the car wash thing which I doubt you will tell them no when they want to use the prep brush.

I'm a HUGE fan of the new Wolfgang Uber rinseless but it's soooooo much more than that, it works equally great as a rinseless as well as waterless and depending on how you NEED to wash your car at a given time, this product does an outstanding job.

Although I haven't used it as a quick detailer I'm sure it excels there and I have used it as clay lube but in RW ratio.

I agree, you can't go wrong here on AG but WGU is the most cost effective AND versatile product out there, 1 ounce makes 3 gallons of RW solution💡

Ditto! I purchased a gallon when it came out and love it. One big difference I notice with Wolfgang Uber Rinseless is how easy it is to dry. My MF towel just glides as I'm drying. I need to figure out what I'm going to do with my 1 gallon of D114 and 2 gallons of D115.

26 degrees and no problems for me using ONR. No freezing whatsoever.

I will take all of them off your hands.

This is really quite an understatement. It dries very very well with a good microfiber. It's something I don't think you can really appreciate until you've used it against something like ONR or DP's.

I couldn't agree with this more and I know there's fans of products that will not look any further because they are soooo happy with what they're using and that's fine but WGU RW is one of those products really worth trying out. You can buy the small bottle with the measuring cup built into it first to try it out and this gets you more than enough product to try out as a RW, WW, clay lube and QD and then do your series of tests. IMO once you were to do this there would be NO doubt as to how superior this product is over all other products it competes against.

As far as the other products to in your collection, well, you could sell them, trade them, show a neighbor how this works and get them in on the ground floor of RW/WW. I plan on using my other RW's to make up my FrankenDetailer.

I'll take some of that d115 too if you're willing to trade for!

Ok I take it back just tried Uber as Rinseless and waterless and I think I may also have to find a way to trade my D115 for more Uber. Its more economical, works just as well, maybe even more slick and doesn't leave a strong odor afterwards.
