Waterless/Rinseless Wash without Wax

Which part?

Sorry. That was a little vague. The part that I meant was that you said D115 was a bit better than Uber.

I've got all the Ultimate's in my house including the Wash and Wax. I have been starting to use all Wolfgang to see in what ways they are better.

That speaks volumes for D115 if you say you feel it is little bit better at cleaning and gloss than Uber.

WG Uber Rinseless really isn't that expensive; 64oz for $49 not on sale on AG, $65 for a gallon on WG site. Wait for a sale and stock up.

Wolfgang Uber Rinseless Wash 128 oz.

Wolfgang website also has free shipping over $50 & 10% off.

IMHO WG is much better than ONR.

I'm BUSTING to try this stuff !!!!!!!

Looks sweet !!!!

Thanks for the tip.

I think it speaks volumes for Uber because the dilution ratio for D115 is 1:4 and for Uber it's 1:48 and they cost about the same for a gallon.

That's insane, I didn't know that.. Is that the bottom recommended dilution? Or what's the range of dilution ratios for Uber?

1:48! I surely missed that one man! Holy Cow! I am also going to check out the price match to see what's up.

The price on WGcarcare.com was cool too with the discount.

Man, I don't think I would even feel right, diluting to such a low number.

D114 dilutes @1:128 and I use that as a waterless sometimes, and even at that it feels borderline heavy. Trust me, you'll get used to it. Lol. And your wallet will feel nice in the longrun😉

There's no advertised range for Uber. For D115 is can be diluted up to 1:20 for hot climates. Don't be scared of the 1:48 dilution ratio. Uber is very effective and safe as a waterless wash. I've been using it 1-2 times a week since it came out.

Oh so it's a "rinseless wash"?
My bad, I thought it was a waterless wash & wax equivalent to D115. [even though this thread is supposed to be about rinseless washes w/o wax. Sorry for derailing. Lol]
So what's the dilution for rinseless?

I've been working with Wolfgang Uber Rinseless for a month and it's been absolutely fantastic. It leaves the surface feeling incredibly slick, it smells great, and the dilution rate is one of the best: 1oz per 3 gallons of water for rinseless, 1:48 dilution for waterless solution. I haven't had any trouble with rinseless or waterless use. It does seem to leave behind a noticeable presence on the paint. If I have a fresh application of Brilliant Shine Detailer that beads water at a maximum level, the waterless ratio of Uber will alter that behavior down slightly, whereas with Meg's Deep Crystal soap I don't notice any water behavior change after rinsing. BSD also feels much slicker afterwards using Uber. Still repels water at a very high level, but with the extreme (and possibly unique) example of BSD I can see a slight effect after the rinse. I'll have to get a hold of some D114 to do a comparison. Overall I jumped on Uber Rinseless when it was on sale and I'm very happy with its performance and dilution rates.

Meg's Deep Crystal soap

I've seen some of your vids [nice work]
Is there a reason you use Megs Deep Crystal soap? Just wondering because it seems like it'd be the bottom of the barrel choice for most people.

Thanks! With Deep Crystal I just wanted something that I could find over the counter that wasn't advertised to have any conditioners or wax mixed into the formula. It's like the Dawn soap argument, if the soap has a significant surfactant mixed in, that could be the factor that causes lower beading after washing instead of the durability of the wax itself. So Dawn most likely doesn't strip the wax but has a surfactant that produces flatter water behavior that isn't easily rinsed away. With Deep Crystal, I avoid the headache of those who might otherwise reject the results due to the type of soap used, like Gold Class which is advertised to have conditioners or the obvious wash&wax soap, even though those soaps might also rinse as cleanly from the surface as Deep Crystal appears to.

That concept ties into the rinseless and waterless wash phenomenon too. If the polymer in the formula bonds to the surface of the wax layer then it will most likely leave behind its own type of surface tension and you could notice a significant drop in the beading if you started with a product that gave off more aggressive water repellency. I remember reading years ago of some users who noticed that Optimum No Rinse was causing a drop in beading.

Cool, makes sense. Looking forward to seeing more of your vids as I'm pretty big on beading myself.

My next order I am going to get the Uber rinseless, I'm going to get the gallon. As I'm about to run out of ONR anyway.

I use these rinseless Wash solutions for everything.

Clay lube
Detail spray
Waterless wash
Rinseless Wash
Water softners

If I bought.a designated item for all those things I would be in well over 200$

You can spend 30 dollars on a clay lubricant.

Forgive me for not knowing, but what is the difference between a rinseless wash, and a waterless wash? I thought they were the same thing.

Thanks all!

No. They are different.

A rinseless wash uses a bucket of water with a rinseless wash product added. You soak the wash media in the bucket and proceed to wipe down/wash the car and dry.

A waterless wash does not use a bucket of water. You just spray the car directly with the waterless wash product and wipe down/wash the car.

Priyaka, Thank you very much for clearing that up for me, and for the great link!

Take care and enjoy your weekend!
