I've been looking for a good waterless wash and for price purposes I think I'm gonna go with Opti-clean. Plus you can't go wrong with Optimum products. Are most waterless washes the same. Or do some stand out from the rest? Thank you

Since your criteria is "price purposes" Ultima Waterless Wash Plus is much more cost-effective than Opti-Clean.

hands down UWW+ is I feel better than OOC in both price and the finish it leaves; price per gallon (post-dilution; so price per gallon of actual waterless wash) is much lower than OOC.

Of course with all products, when you buy OOC in gallon, it cuts down on the cost significantly, but ultima is still noticably cheaper per gallon for the same price point.

I plan on finishing the last 1L of OOC I have left and just buying nothing but UWW+ from now on

ok i didnt realize thats a concentrate for 20.99 that can make a ton of UWW+. I think i have my winner

Depending on the brand there can be a heck of a cost savings. UWW+ gets down to .03 an ounce of useable product and that is hard to beat.

Is UWW+ wax safe? I'm assuming it is, I may have to buy some soon!
Sure is. I've tried it spritzed on an applicator pad, using megs ultimate wax to do my wife's car. I figured the polycharger in UWW+ might help kick off the UW...Don't know if it's so, but it certainly didn't hurt. Pic is from 2 weeks ago. Meg's ult wax on wife's car in January. This pic, ultima car shampoo wash, master blaster dry, UWW+ to get any residual dirt that might have migrated from crevices onto paint (I was working blind in the dark by now, so couldn't see if the surface was completely clean), then a quick go around with Megs ult quik wax (well actually M156). I have yet to do any correction work on this 9 month old car and it went 5 months before I gave it it's first wash  (was way too busy with more important stuff, and it killed me. Especially since the car isn't garaged and there's dust galore, feral cats, pepper trees and pigeons in the midst!) This car has known, and loved, UWW+ for the past 3 months. Thank You Cee Dog for the UWW+ review and recommendation!!

+1

Opti Clean does work well but doesn't mix as much. The DP stuff is pretty good too. Get it when it's on BOGO.

I second blackfire, I really like this stuff compared to ONR, dp, and Adams

Now THAT'S a pic to brag about!!! Wow just look at that hood!

I'm on the very edge of buying some Ultima waterless wash.

Thanks for the review links Corey, I'll give them a read a bit later.

I have and use both. I find that Opti-Clean cleans off dirt films better and is slightly better for removing stuff like bird droppings, but is harder to buff off streak free. UWW+ leaves a slicker, glossier surface and is VERY good value for money.

OOC can also be used for interiors, while UWW+ doesn't list interiors as a possible use. UWW+ can be used as a rinseless in a pinch (expensive), while OOC cannot be used that way (officially at least).

If you very occasionally use Waterless Washes and prefer flexibility and slightly better cleaning ability, I would say that OOC probably fits the bill better. If you're looking to make WW a part of your regular routine and like looks/slickness, then UWW is the preferred choice.

I carry mixed bottles of both in my detailing bag, and I reach for the UWW+ more often as I'm doing a WW every 2 days or so.

Rix6,

This is what I have been doing. The polycharger does seem to add a bit to LSPs being applied.

And man your car does look good!
:props:

There is a huge difference between waterless and rinseless. Waterless is used like a quick detailer and sprayed on. Rinseless is used with 2gal of water and a sponge and washed like a normal wash then dried after every panel.

Is that the correct way of using a waterless wash?

[sarcasm]

It is the correct way, only if you use Hi Def Waterless Wash !!

Hi Def Waterless Wash is so amazing you can not turn the towel ( that looks like an old shop rag ) wipe a door from the top all the way to the bottom, do not turn and start at the top again on the next door, Without any ill effects....

If you act now, they will include the red shop rag at no cost
( just pay additional shipping and handling fee )
