Wax comparison: Fuzion, Supernatural, DGPS

Killr, Dodo USA sells samples.

If you used SN several months ago that was V1. The V2 (which I have) does sweat and after removing the haze it can reappear for 3-4 days. IME, it hazed on the hood and front fenders only. Easy to wipe off, but frustrating for an expensive wax.

Did you get a chance to compare the 3 panels after a wash? Some products look great after using it because of oils and stuff but lose a lot of the look after the first wash. It would be nice to know how the looks hold up for these 3 products.

I have a question, is Fuzion a sealant?? is it a far comparison with DGPS being a sealant and the other two being carnuba waxes?? Am I missing something? Wouldn't the slickness of DGPS be greater because it is a sealant?? Please someone set me straight.

Your right. Why the op picked those three for comparisome, dunno.

I did not do any long term testing, sorry.

As listed in the original post...

A few people have asked me now what I thought of Supernatural compared to Fuzion. So I decided to bust out my black test hood and do a little side by side action. I had a friend who sent me a sample of the DGPS and insisted I try it out too, so I figured I'd throw that into the mix.

The test was done for no other reason than that.

Thanks for the reveiw! I have been topping Souveran with Supernatural. This is a Good Wax. I have not tried the Fusion yet,but I'd bet the DoDo Juice products are right up there with the top waxes.

Rasky's test had nothing to do with "fairness." He wasn't trying to prove anything. He was just comparing.

ok ok, i missed that part of his statement, I apologize. I tend to skim read and miss things from time to time.

so the sweating. how can you prevent that? and what exactly is going on when that happens.?
by the way this review rocks!!!

My understanding, based on Dom Colbeck's comments on the topic over at Detailing World, is that the sweating or hollogramming that some people experience with Supernatural is due to Supernatural's high carnauba and natural content. It just takes time for all the oils to evaporate.

The way to fight this is (a) apply a thin coat and (b) give the wax sufficient time to set-up (perhaps an hour even) before carefully buffing it off. Dom also suggests to do a second buff an hour after the first buff.

Nope... damp applicator won't help from a technical point of view... outgassing is insufficient curing and water/humdity doesn't help.
Allow Supernatural to fully cure in thin layers, maybe leave 30mins to an hour to fully cure before buffing. Then buff carefully, refolding the microfibre regularly. When it looks like it has been buffed, buff once again. (The oils are difficult to remove from the paint, which is a side effect of what makes it work well. Something like Diamond White is a bit more user friendly as it is not such a specialist wax.)
I would refrain from using a QD if possible as they can sometimes react with a wax and there should be no need unless the wax layer has picked up some minor contamination.
Hope this is helpful

I found this over on DW when I was searching for the answer.
