Hey Guys, im torn between carnauba waxes.
Its either M26, Gold Class Plus, or Mothers California Gold Pure Carnauba. Does anyone have any experience with them? if so, any good feedback? Do any stain trim? Easiest to apply, remove?
 
Are you shopping for strictly over the counter wax? Are you on a tight budget?
 
well i prefer not to spend too much on wax. i mean college student=no money you know? those are the easiest available at my local stores.
 
Of those options, M26 is by far the best.

Are you only limiting yourself to carnubas? There are some pretty good sealants (Duragloss #111 comes to mind) that are quite affordable and available at places like NAPA and Carquest.
 
actually i do use sealants. i was just wondering what is a good carnauba to use.
 
Well if your limiting yourself to over the counter Then may I suggest the Autoglym line of products which are available at Walmart and Pepboys. Great quality at a good price point.

This is exactly where I was going since he wants a carnauba. My next suggestion was going to be Duragloss products because they are available otc. I haven't used Mother's Pure Carnauba yet. Give it a try and write a review!
 
If you are on a budget and you must have carnauba, then go with Collinite products. You get looks and durability. Go with 845 IW or 476. For 15 bucks, you get a tin can of stuff that will last you a LIFETIME. Plus a coat of it will last you a whole winter of salt/grime and car washes. This is assuming you have properly prepped your surface with a good claying, and polishing of course... this way 476/845 bond to a nice clean (and flat) surface.
 
actually, i have a coat of 845 on my car already. i was just looking for a topper carnauba for the nice glow.
 
Of the one's you've listed go with Meguiar's #26 Hi Tech wax . Since economy is a priority then why not add another coat of 845?

:whs: 845 does have a good glow already since it's carnauba. You looking for more but on a budget? Hmmmm... that's tough. My all-time fave is Souveran paste... but perhaps you could get away with DP MaxWax... almost as good. Or Sig Series II? Sorry but I'm not feeling any of the ones you listed.
 
i would say pinnacle signature series 2 . is fantastic.
or if you want a deeper glow to the paintwork. go with souveran paste.
both waxes are amazing!!! easy on easy off. :xyxthumbs:
 
haha I got so many posts about other waxes, I didn't get any answers of the ones from the list!
 
That's like being on a diet and asked to choose to pick from eating at Burger King, Sonic, or McDonald's. All options are not good ones.

If you are looking just for a wax to top your Colly 845, I'd go with M26. For the money, it's one of the best OTC pure waxes.

But if you're looking for a standalone wax, I'd give the new Gold Class Plus a try. I've read some good things about the new formulation over at MOL.
 
I know others like the #26, but I have been using Mothers California Gold Pure Carnuba Wax since around 1970 and it is still a good quality wax for the money and is available in most auto parts stores. It is easy apply, be careful around trim as it can be a pia to get off. It lasts about average for a nuba but gives a great shine and lots of beading
