What steps are you taking to clean and polish the paint prior to Souveran?

If the paint is already swirl free, I will wash and clay first.

If it has light swirls, wash, clay, light polish on a white pad.

I only use Souveran when the paint is gemed up real nice. It just puts a finishing look on it that is its own.

I'm not using Souveran yet. My PC and ssr1 + 2 should arrive today. I will be using Mcguires cleaner caranuba paste wax for now. I am just doing a little research before I drop a ton of cash on stuff that MIGHT work for me.

Once you go souveran, you dont go back :D Another good alternative if you dont want the deep shimmer look of souveran but want good deph and more reflection, go for signature series II.

SSII, Souveran, Fuzion , P21S 100%, and DP Max Wax ....

Just finished my wife's Moonlit Blue '04 Elantra (almost a blue-black, very deep blue with metal flake). Used Meg's NXT sealant and Fuzion top coat. Looks better than when she bought it.

Wow! That Elantra looks like a million bucks!

Thanks, my wife liked the outcome! :awesome:

When I first jumped into this obsession she wasn't sure if the $$ investment in a Flex, nine pads, three polishes, MF cloths, Fuzion wax and assorted "stuff" was worth it. :buffing:

She thought the results on my white '07 Sonata looked great but after seeing her dark blue Elantra without the dealer installed scratches and swirls she said it was worth every dollar. :D :righton: :D
