Wax for direct sunlight

How big of a panel did you do at a time?
If you did more than say the roof, then the trunk, then the hood, then the side, other side, then front and finally back all broken up like that, it's going to streak. Now if you are really REALLY quick, (like you have two people spraying at once) you might could do the hood and roof and hit it with a rinse. Same thing for a single side... it'd take two people spraying and some really quick movements. It's a great product, but it likes 1: shade, 2: small panels at once and 3: TONS of rinse water followed by sheeting.
 
+1 on Meguiar's Ultimate series. Actually did a mustang earlier with the compound, polish, and wax without any issues. Weather was 65 degrees and sunny. Not a single issue. Used before in upper 80s without any issue just had to mist it occasionally if i needed longer working time.

I did small sections but part of the truck was too sunny I suspect. Also, I rinsed with the hose as I went. When I finished I turned the pressure washer on it and it showed my rinse with the garden hose was insufficient. I will not use it again until I have my indoor wash bay. My biggest issue now is how to remove the streaks. I've learned what not to do. Thanks for your input.
 
Turtle wax ICE can be applied in direct sunlight. I watched a guy at the park using the stuff. He put it on everything, tires, trim & panels. The only thing I'm concerned about is putting it on the tires because it's petrolium based

Turtle wax ice last about 3-5 days on a daily driver. Nice for a quick shine on a weekend car or show car but there are much better products out there.
 
I had beading from turtle wax ice last for months before. Used it on my white daily driver and didn't notice much difference in looks though. Use 845 now and I am much happier.

Look no further than poorboy's .. Work with no problem in direct sun on the hottest most humid days
 
I did a car yesterday with Meguiars ULW and I had a problem in direct sun. The temp outside was probably 80 and the panel temp must have been 100+. I applied the wax on very small sections at a time but the wax would dry so quick that it didn't come off well so I had to use a quick detailer and spray on the wax streaks to get them out.....bad experience. Must have been too hot...im buying a canopy now :)
 
So much stuff to learn in here ! Taught we couldn t wax under sunlight , but with proper wax you can , learned another thing today !

Are we talking about the ICE Liquid Polish or ICE Wax? I was referring to the polish, should have indicated that.
 
Poorboy's Natty blue paste wax. I've used it many times on my black car in the sun in the summer. You have to be ready to remove it pretty quickly though. If it's really hot it can harden up and be difficult to remove. I usually do 1 panel, or even 1/2 panel at a time.
 
Not a recommendation for this thread, rather, FYI...Turtle Wax has a new paste wax...Turtle Wax Ice...and it must be a reformulation from the first Ice paste wax. The new version, if it is a new version(its at least a different color and consistency)...could be a totally new Ice wax...is almost the color of Vaseline, or Mink oil (and it might be worth about as much...LOL!).
