I got some Ultimate Liquid Wax last spring and put it in a white squeeze bottle. I keep it in a cool dry place for the winter. I got it out to wax my daughters car. After shaking for a while i squeezed some wax out and it was separated(look like cottage cheese). This ever happen to anyone.

What the heck... Maybe it reacted with something in the bottle?

I went really runny, and stunk really badly.

Ouch! I have never experienced that and I have waxes and liquid waxes at least 1+ yrs old. IMO trash that one and get a new bottle. This might also be a great time to look at different brands.

I've had products do that. In my case it was rarely used stuff that was in my detached shop. I just assumed that it was temperature swings and age. I now keep all the products that use regularly in a closet in my laundry room to control temperature extremes.
I have also been told to shake products like this once a month when not being used. I do not know if there is any truth to this.

I have several brands of wax I was trying use up some the open bottles I have.
I don't think I will buy it again though .

I do have a bottle of Blue Coral Ultra Fine Auto Polish that still smells like 1996.... A girl name Vickie comes to mind witin moments of opening that bottle...

The only time I have had products go bad was after transferring them to a different container. Especially when there is a lot of head space in the container.

Are you sure her name wasn't Sally?
