Wax on plastic

2008 Jeep Wrangler

I waxed the wrangler last summer and got wax on the charcoal gray plastic trim and fenders. Now they are showing white where the wax got. Any recommendations for cleaning this was off of the plastic fenders?
 
some diluted APC/OPC and a soft toothbrush works for me

next time, dress the trim first so there will be a barrier of sorts in case you accidentally hit the trim with wax.

or just start using a WOWA sealant like Blackfire Crystal seal - no buffing and does not mark trim whatsoever, even when you put it on purpose on the trim....
 
i have a jeep and TRUST ME i know how annoying jeep/chrysler trim is! use megs #39 or apc 10:1 or 4:1. it will remove it:)
 
APC as the gys said or I really like the DP exterior cleanse-all.
 
I ran into some a while back that no matter what I did, it wouldn't come off. I used Durgaloss Wax eraser, 4 different APC's at many different dilutions, including straight. I scrubbed and brushed to no avail... I gave up and dyed the trim with showroom new. Depending on what product left it and how long it's been on there I think there are some cases where it's just not coming off.

Are you sure it is dried wax and not stained permanently due to exposure to some cleaners in polishes or waxes?
 
I'm sure this only masks it and you all are going to laugh at me, but I use Mothers Back to Black to cover up my wax "overruns".
