Wax on wax off

Thank you for that information. I just did that one spot, took pictures to post and was hoping to hear from someone if what I was doing was safe or if I should just wait till the McKee’s 37 I ordered to get here, I have to say it worked incredibly well and it only took a couple minutes which had me a little concerned. It’s been my experience when things seem too good to be true they often are, any thoughts on using that rubber tip at the end of the detailing brush, it’s very soft, light pressure conforms it to the edge of the stripe, could it do damage? I live in a very small coastal town,we do have a couple detailers that have done good work for me in the past but I honestly don’t trust them to do the level I want on this car.
Thanks For all the help!!

I would be careful of that rubber tip. It could push dried material on the paint and cause some scratching. Even soft, it is still an abrasive material. If it worked, great. I still like the chemical removal, I think there is less chance of marring or scratching.

Beautiful car. Have fun, stay on the forums, and share your experiences with us other crazy fools.

Thanks again, I think I am armed with enough good information to deal with the irritating white edges of my stripes without doing any damage to the paint or vinyl it would have been embarrassing for my next thread to be titled how to remove scratches near vinyl stripes!! The pain appears to have been taking care of I was unable to find any swirls or imperfections aside from a little few light scratches around the door handles and two small rock chips on the front bumper near the grill opening. I’m sure it won’t be hard to find information in one of the previous threads on how to deal with that. You guys have a great community here and have went above and beyond what I expected to find online as far as help.
PS i’ve been a mechanic for over 30 years if there’s anything mechanical that someone might want an opinion on feel free to message me I would be glad to help.

Welcome to AG.
I sent you a PM. Would like to know where
to find the brush you used.
PM was just in case AG does not carry.

Thanks
Jim
