Wax over Sealant

And that is the million dollar question. To date nobody can "absolutely" prove that one protects better than the other. I do know sealants seem to be more easily suseptible to etching from birdie doo-doo and waxes do not last anywhere near as long.
 
Souveran. Hands down it looks amazing on darker colors ( I see a black car in your avatar) and application/removal could not be any easier.
 
What is better: Souveran Paste or Souveran Liquid?
 
paste for looks liquid for longer durability. also liquid is supposed to be better on light colors and paste is best on darks. and i mean best as in, of anything ever:applause:
 
If you are serious about detailing, spend the extra money on the paste. If you are not ready to do so, save up and don't buy anything else. :) It is so worth it.
 
the paste is so darn easy to use ... that you can literally add a coat in 10 minutes top. WOWO --- its just that easy !!

Hate to be a pedant here, but...do you mean that for even light colors? Or would the liquid Souveran be better for that, as Kelso said?

Also, does wax stain black moulding?

Souveran paste does wonders for all colors, but specifically on blacks, yellows, and reds. You can get away with Sig Series II if looking to save a couple dollars. Remember there are around 30 applications per jar, so plenty for months/years of bliss.
 
Hmmmm..."Desert Sand" has a hugely yellow undertone to it...

Okay. My arm is completely twisted. Souveran paste is my next purchase.

It is simply shameful how easy it is to spend money here... :D LMAO
 
After experimenting with sealers and glazes for gloss on my silver met car and looking at that generic, blank, plastic like shine, i realized how much i missed that smooth buttery soft glow gleam that i had before...so today i went back to the best paste wax ive ever imagined on my silver beauty

What would actually happen if you put a sealant over wax? would the sealant just wash off after the first rain? Wash off after the first wash? effect the paint?
 
It would compromise the protection and durability of the sealant. A sealant works through cross linking. The polymers connect to each other to form a sort of shield or barrier of protection over the surface, if it cannot bond properly then you are compromising the protective qualities as well as the durability.
