I used the orbital wax machine yesterday
It was spinning really fast at setting 1.
When I tried to switch it to settings 3-5, the wax splatter everywhere.

Is this normal behavior for this orbital?
Does anyone apply double layers of wax in the car hood?
The car hood is most exposed to UV light. I applied as much wax on it compare to the doors.

How much wax do you guys apply to different parts of the car?

I bought a 1 gallon chemical guys high gloss orange wax. I had difficulty getting wax out of the container.

How do I dispense wax from large container? All waxes coagulate like pudding.

Try using less wax on the orbital pad. Just a couple dime size drops at a time. Low setting 1-2 should be fine. You should be applying a very thin layer everywhere. If you want to ensure even coverage everywhere or only on the hood etc, apply another layer after the first wax coat had dried and been buffed off. I’m not sure about your wax, but if it has polymers in it, wait 12-24 hours before the second coat.
 
I recommend finding a smaller bottle to to pour into. Or you can buy a pump dispenser, such as the ones sold on AGO for about $5.
