wax

I always apply the wax by machine. I only use the spray wax of spray detailer if I've waxed the vehicle before and it's just a maintence wash and quick wax. The spray wax may work as will but I feel better about a good machine wax.

What do you use?

For the wax I noramlly use Poorboys Nattys or Blackfire Midnight Sun. For winter I use Coll. 845 as a LSP. I always apply 2 coats with a polisher. For a spray wax or topper I normally use Pinnalce XMT Spray Wax or Chemical Guys V7. Both seem to offer good protection is they are applied over a good base wax.

I upsell to coatings about 60-70% of the time but when not doing a coating it is Optimum Car Wax for my basic details and Optimum Opti-Seal for my Premiums.

I have a few other things I sometimes use but I mostly gravitate towards the above.

Do you polish before using the optimum seal on your premium details? or do you just wash, clay, and then opti seal?

Usually do one step with HD Polish then seal.

I think others have chimed in on this, but at what you are doing to this vehicle in your steps, you are really pricing yourself too low. You are already looking at about $15.00 just in chemicals and tools, so you are now at or around $100.00 for at least a 4 hour job. If you are just wanting to have a price like this, I would wash the car, dry the car, no clay, and use a spray wax. This can be sold as an express detail for those people who do not want correction, but want a clean car with some protection.

HUMP

I usually have set prices on my different packages. Wax is included by machine application in packages Gold and Silver. Bronze being the basic interior/exterior for Daily drivers. I'll offer an optional machine wax for the cheapest package "Bronze" for an extra 25$ for car 40$ for bigger. When they come back and get the detail sometimes they wont want a wax because they got one 2-4 weeks ago. In this case you use spray wax or Detailing spray for quick finishing touches.

I did a similar job to yours but for my friend for a no agreement price of 100 dollars. In about 4 hours too!. However, I would go near 300 for that amount of work
