Waxaholics!

:laughing::laughing::laughing:

Something like this but in a deep green. Gotta have the pumps and bumps, too.

Imagine the horror the rearward-couple, (that's approaching this Caddy), may indeed incur, if the 'smellucination' they thought they were encountering was, for real, and in fact, (on an otherwise immaculate representation of an iconic piece of American-Knowhow):
"Old-Man-Smell"...left behind by that owner!!

technically you could eat carnauba wax if you wanted to. They already coat pills and jelly beans with it.

That should make the game of Concentration, Aggravation, and Kerplunk a breeze!

:)

then people would be like, "why do you eat carnauba wax twice a week? it has enough nutritional value to last a month. you're wasting your money."

Today's tasks were applying Adam's VRT onto Killer's matte black stripes and TRYING to knock out some scratches on my '99 Lumina. Handwork proved futile so out came the PC with an aggressive pad. The Scratch X couldn't "cut" it (get it? Har har). So I stopped at the parts store and picked up a bottle of Meg's 105 and will give that a go in the a.m.

Of course The Killer will get it's first wash/wax of the week as well.

Wax 'em if ya got 'em.

Thanks for the info man. Technically you can eat carnauba wax in its natural state. But not car wax... Well you can but only if you want your stomach pumped homie.

Bob! You forgot the most important wax of all!

You forgot my favorite wax, Mustache Wax. I recommend it for all short hairs. You can eat it too, many enjoy it on Cheez-Itz and tortillas.

I found this article in the May 16th, 2012 issue of the...

...to be quite interesting; and, along with this publication...

...to pertain to, and be germane for: "Detailing"
. I will attempt to correlate their significance.

(Excerpted, in part)...

Chronic Afflictions of a Detailer...by: Dr Howard Bauchner, MD, Editor-in-Chief, The Journal of the American Medical Association.

"During this time of the year, all eyes, or so it seems, turn to Detailing vehicles...whether by professionals, or individuals themselves. Detailing has been proven to be a strenuous activity, especially for the unacclimated: "Week-end Warriors".
A common occurence, then, seems to be the heartbreak of itching/burning sensations being experienced by many whom attempt vehicle-detailing...Most assuredly by those that suffer, from what they are clinically known to be: 'Waxaholics'."

"Currently, as such, there is no remedy/cure for such itching/burning sensations, except for: "Standard-Medical-Procedures-of-Invasive-Ligation"
(as shown below):

[(cont'd): Dr Bauchner's article]...

"But (no pun intended), I'm always open (again, no pun intended) to new ideas.
My colleagues and I will set aside some "grant-monies" to further have this less-invasive-treatment (shown below):
As submitted by Mr. HSJ...tested for FDA approval".

Funx,
Between that and the hub cap recall, you have been finding some great articles. lol

For symptoms of itching and burning I suggest immediate physician intervention. Penicillin has proven to be helpful. I recommend taking a deep breath and don't squirm too much when the swabbing commences.

After yesterday's mission of taking the DA and the Meg's 105 to the Lumina, this morning was time for... You guessed it; waxing'!

Feeling a bit nostalgic, I reached for the NXT. My lawd geezus there is no comparison with ease of application versus Pinnacle or Blackfire. Yes, the paint looks shiny but it's a PITA to work with.

I worked one side of the car with NXT and said to heck with it and grabbed the Blackfire.

I love this. I still have some NXT2.0 and have used it on occasion as I remember and like the look it left. But yes it is not as easy as other products. The other thing is I was always disappointed in the durability and would have to re-apply it every other week to keep the look and beading nice.
