waxed both cars this weekend

what made you want to go with the 476?

I have a 98 dodge ram that i had restored about 7-8 years ago. The paint in a glossy black but its extremely soft.

I always used petes 53 on it with great results, last year i used collinite with great results. I want to try the 915 on it as that looks to be better for shine than the 845

I went with 476 mostly out of curiosity. So many people say how awesome 845 is, but they also say 476 is even more durable. I want the most durable product I can find for our SD winters. So I tried the 476. Can't yet speak for durability, but it feels to me like a more durable product. Removal had a "waxier" feel to it than the 845. Kind of hard to explain. First coat was hard to remove, but I think maybe I applied a little too thick. Second coat was super easy to remove but I applied thinner and only let it sit for 5 minutes instead of 20. Plus, it was a second coat, so easier anyway.

If you have soft paint, I'd be careful with it. You do NOT want to apply thick to the whole vehicle and let it sit for a half hour. You'd be buffing for days. And risk marring the clear with your towel. I had to rub pretty hard, although I didn't try detail spray to help with removal. In hindsight I should have. If 845 is working for you, I'd just stick to it. But if you want more durability and are willing to work a little harder, 476 fits the bill.

Surprisingly, the 845 darkened my paint more than the 476 did. Its a tan/gold truck.
