Hey Mike, I’ve got a customer brining in a 2018 Corvette Z06 that is wrapped in blue chrome. He got the car wrapped in Miami and the shop that did the wrap provided him wth a wax product that they recommended. The job is just a wash and wax. Are there any special considerations with working on a wrapped finish. Thanks Jim R.

The special consideration comes down to how you "touch" the wrap. You cannot remove scratches out of wrap surfaces so the LAST thing you want to do is to put a scratch INTO a wrap surface.

As I covered in our class and talk about on this forum all the time, how long any surface looks good and stays scratch free all comes down to how the surface is touched.

I'd use the was they gave the owner of the Corvette and for ANY step that you do to this car, so washing, drying, applying the wax and wiping off the wax, make sure every microfiber towel, drying towel, applicator pad or wipe-off towels are surgically clean.

See my article here and watch the video.....
