What to do with the non-shiny strip between front and rear windows on my F150 ford Crew cab truck. Can it be waxed etc.?

Does it appear to be flat paint or is it textured plastic? A lot of times this area is painted single stage black and is just oxidized to where it looks flat. In the later scenario, I tape the area off to protect any rubber or plastic trim from the buffing pad and buff that area to a high gloss before sealing or waxing it.

The area in question is a matte finish plastic trim, just like the rest of the window trim. You would treat them like you would your window trim. If you want them glossy like your paint, you have a couple options depending on what year. You can either have them painted, vinyl overlays, covers, or replace them with glossy ones (certain years).

I wondered the same thing, great question and great advice as usual.
