Waxing in the sun

So I have some Meg's products that I really do like but the forecast is nothing but sunny for the next 4-5 days. I have the urge to wax but product directions say no sun.
So what happens if you wax in the sun??
 
It's going to dry fast before you have it spread thin and be harder to remove. Try doing it early in the morning or late in the day.
 
Most waxes will not work in direct sun. Like Setec said. Early morning or late in the evening. If shade is difficult for you to find. Go with poor boys most of there stuff is direct sun light usage which is nice. They make good stuff too.

I, as well as others, could try our best to provide all of the
pertinent information (or opinions) regarding this query...

But, for now, I will only opine/suggest:

-The best explanation would be forthcoming from you...
once you have actually attempted this procedure.

-That you find some shaded area.

I waxed a "gold rush" edition Scion xB in the sun about 3 weeks ago, used Colinite #845 w/o a problem. It was about 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon, so the sun was pretty high in the sky and temp was lower 80's. I applied the product VERY thin and even did the whole car and THEN removed it.

There's my .02 worth, nothing MORE, nothing less.

Here's a story that may or may not be relevant with today's products...

Back in the late 1940's-early 1950's, my dad decided to wax his car. There was no garage to do it in and apparently the driveway was on the sunny side of the house.

This is when paste wax was real hard...brick like...and my dad was the kind of guy that assumed if the instructions say a little is all you need, then more must be better.

He applied the paste wax all over the car very thickly. It baked very hard in the hot sun. It wasn't long before he dragged my mom out of the house to help rub the caked wax off the car.

My mom said he was making up profanity as the usual ones didn't suffice. Dad was also the kind of guy who would never admit it was his fault...it had to be the wax manufacturer's fault.

Yeah, one time during warm weather like this I decided to wash and wax my car after work, I used some heavy wax like Collinite 476S, and back in those days I thought more was better (I did apply in the shade). Well, it was getting dark etc. so I decided I would buff the car at lunch the next day.

I think there was still some of that wax on the car when I junked it almost 20 years later.
 
i've used paste wax in the sun not recommended but if you use a light coat and only do a quarter to half of the car at a time you should be ok. as for liquid wax's in the sun i've used many liquid wax's in the sun with great results. also any wowo (wipe on wipe off) wax is great for the sun. chemical guys butter wet wax can be used in the sun as well as on a wet car i love it.
 
Get some Poorboy's it works in the hot sun!

NOO!!!!! IF YOU DO THAT YOU'LL HAVE TO TRADE YOUR CAR IN!!!! IT'S RUINED!!

In all seriousness, the posts here are wise to follow: Light coats/applications of wax, find shade if possible or follow the sun, waxing the shaded side of the vehicle first, then moving on as the sun progresses across the sky. Follow the shade and don't rush it and don't think that you have to complete this all in one session.

You can try Meg's Ultimate Wax. Supposedly you can use this in the sun as it's pretty much described as a wipe on wipe off type of product.

.... nothing happens it is just harder to remove.
