I am going to try to make this one. I was just catching up on all the recorded episodes of CCC I had on my DVR. Wayne has so much fun on these shows!

As of right now, the weather forecast for this coming weekend looks nearly perfect!

***Update***

Tech Session Topic

How to use the Porter Cable 7424XP to create a show car finish!

And you'll never guess what our "demo car" is going to be?

Here's a hint.... it's in keeping with Wayne's reputation of working with classic cars...

I love this topic only because so many forum members are so quick to dismiss the PC7424XP as not powerful enough, or not this enough, or that enough.

It remains one of the most versatile and dependable tools out there especially for the price!

It's early morning here at Autogeek as we get ready for Cars & Coffee with Wayne Carini!

It's 7:45am in the morning here in sunny Stewart, Florida and in about 2 hours I'll start the Cars & Coffee Tech Session and showcase the new compound, polish and jeweling wax.

The paint on the 1959 Cadillac resembles most daily drivers in that it is filled with millions of light or shallow swirls and scratches and along side all these shallow swirls and scratches I can see a lot of random isolated deeper scratches or RIDS.

I'll be showing the tool that started it all in the orbital polisher world and that's the Porter Cable dual action polisher.

I'll be using the most simple pads, 5.5" thin foam flat pads.

The tool and the pads are key but as I type on this forum all the time, and emphasize in my detailing classes, the most important factor when it comes to polishing paint is the,

Abrasive Technology

And Bob wouldn't put his name on any of these products unless they were first class, top shelf and pro grade.

Here's what the fin fin Caddy looks like in the sun....

One thing for sure... if I were not confident in the PC, the pads and these new McKee's compounds, polishes and waxes I certainly wouldn't be doing a LIVE demonstration in front of a PACKED HOUSE this morning here at Cars & Coffee or in front of our guest... Wayne Carini.

The compound and polish are absolute defect killers. You can use them with any tool, any pad and even by hand.

To me... my favorite product is the jeweling wax. This is going to become your new favorite product.

Jewelling Wax

Definition: An ultra fine cutting polish and wax combination that when used with a soft foam finishing or jewelling pad will maximize paint gloss, shine, depth and clarity while leaving behind a layer of protection.

You can use the jeweling wax after the compound and polish, or after just the compound or after just the polish.

You can also use it as a stand-alone product for doing high quality production work or for maintaining cars you've already performed the correction, polishing and waxing on.

It's truly going to be my new favorite product.

Stay tuned for more!

:D
