WD40 Uses...

Follow up...I used a chunk of a cotton ball saturated with WD, tape it to the tire/wheel and just let it sit for maybe 2 hours.

Results? Nothing. The salt crystals (or whatever the correct name is) just laughed at it.

Oh well, we tried.

Bill

There is no reason why it would work. Corrosion is no more likely to fall off when treated with a hydrocarbon solvent than an internal combustion engine is to run off water.

Have a buddy that sprays his knees and elbows with it before he starts working in the morning. Swears it loosens the joints. I think it's hilarious and quite funny to witness. But I guess if you're a detailer with squeaky knees and elbows then WD-40 has a place in your arsenal!

PLEASE get this on video and post it!!!!! :props:

When I owned a school bus company one of my drivers (from out of town) mentioned that she was helping her husband with their truck. They had been using WD40. She had arthritis quite bad in her hands and noticed (once back in the house) that the pain had completely disappeared. At that time I used to weight train on a regular basis. My wrist was bothering me so much that training or even lifting my young daughter brought on severe pain. I decided to give WD40 a try. I would spray my wrist, wipe the excess off, wait 10 minutes, and the pain was gone. I would be able to train pain free and the pain would not return for at least 2 hours.
One morning I happened to mention my finding to my local drivers. Of course this met with laughter. One of my drivers that was in her mid 60`s said that she would like to try it. We went into the garage section and I sprayed one of her figures. A short time later she commented that before the spraying, her finger had been throbbing with pain. She did not know if it was in her head, but she was completely pain free. She continued to use it for years.
Sorry to get long winded.
Mike

That is so strange! I have a condition with the same symptoms as arthritis, I should give it a try ;) I don't see how this could work but it is Worth 10 minutes of my time ;)

Ick...but then you'll smell like WD-40!

That's awesome! I wonder if it's just in everyone's head or if it actually works?

Keep Calm & Chive On

I found this while googling this topic

Don't know if anyone wants for reference? http://wd40.com/files/pdf/wd-40_2042538679.pdf

Some of them are hilarious. At the end of the day, you could use your tongue to clean a tiled floor, it would probably work really rather well. Most normal people would buy a mop and bucket realising that just because a thing is possible, does not mean it is even close to the best way to do it.

I agree this I might just print out to laugh at from time to time! My supervisor at my 9 to 5 cleans his hands with it then smells like it all day. Hahaha

I have found wd-40 is a must-have, for many projects.

Reading this...pissed myself.
Wonder if WD-40 can clean that up?

:dunno:

This thread reminds me of that video where the guy "literally" used spit shine for his tires" lol (he was chewing tobacco, or something) lol
