Hello,
I'm prepping for a new-to-me car detail with new-to-me Wolfgang products. One thing I'm scratching my head about is this line from from the Deep Gloss Paint Sealant instructions:
Do not apply sealant before dusk because dew will interfere with the adhesion to the paint. I do not have a garage or covered space to work in so dew is going to come in to play. I live in Denver so in general it's relatively dry.
I think of dew as being a dawn issue, so right there I can't make sense of this given what I think I know. If I waited until after dusk, morning dew would probably come into play in the 12 hour cure window. "Before dusk" is also confusing to me: 1pm is before dusk, so would that time be bad? Compounding this confusion is the fact that my neighborhood is dense and I wouldn't run my buffer in the morning, so my own preference is for afternoon work, which is before dusk... on and on.
So what is this line warning me about? What am I trying to optimize or avoid regarding time of day and dew?
Thanks every one!
