Get takeout from Bocconi, 363 Essex St. Accross from hospital. The food is very good.

tom: if she is in a tertiary hospital with a neonatology unit, these babies should do well. if your wife has pre-eclampsia, your doctors are walking a fine line to squeeze as much time in utero for these babies as possible. ultimately with her condition, delivery is the treatment. many times, the stress of the high blood pressure condition, will actually act to accelerate the maturity of the babies lungs especially if she was given steroids. i know this as this is my line of work. i hope everything goes well for your wife and your 2 new additions to your family.

HUMC has an excellent neonatology unit which is part of the Sanzari Womens Hospital.

Hang in there, Tom! Do you think her watching you try to do the books and stuff might be raising her blood pressure? lol! It sounds as if she's in goods hands medically, so keep the faith spritually, you're all in our prayers.

..and they're only 2 pounds each.

I'll give you an uplifting story - my mother was born in 1924, also a twin, and she weighed just under a kilogram (2.2 lbs).

She was place in the brick oven until she was well enough to make it out on her own!

She passed away only two months ago at the age of 86.

It will be "trying" but these things work out.

GEWB

Sorry, I provided wrong info. The Division of Neonatology is a Level III Regional Perinatal Center and is part of the Joseph Sanzari Childrens hospital not the Womens Hospital.

Trust me. Your wife and babies are in one of the best centers in the country. You have a great medical staff and God will take care of the rest.
