Wearing headphones while detailing?

You can spend some insane money (kinda like LSP), but I think the Klipsch offers great performance and reasonable cost. Makes the white Ipod buds seem like a joke.
CNET REVIEWS: EARBUDS

Never thought it made since to spend alot of money on headphones. I picked up about 4 pairs of in ear headphones made by SkullCandy so when they broke (because they will) I can just toss them and grab a new pair.

And i never thought it made sense how people are satisfied with poor quality sound headphones.

Yes it is... :) $20 can get you a bottle of collinite 845. :)

hahaha true

couldn't agree w/you more!

White ipod buds are repackaged JVC gumy headphones... Haha they both sound like garbage.
ipod buds suck and ipods in general also suck as far as sound output goes. but thats for a diff thread:) i do not own an ipod

Thanks for the tip, I'll look into those other klipsh ones. Really though, was never too comfortable with in the ear style phones.

I can appreciate good sound quality, but music on my ipod or phone isn't the best quality to begin with so....

I don't like doing business with someone who wears headphones. It looks very unprofesional IMO

If I have a question to ask, I feel as if I'm intruding on the individual

Thus, I don't wear headphones

You are all in luck. I own a company called Tuck Away Tunes. I am the designer of this patent pending magnetic, waterproof, speaker system.

Check out my website. Tuck Away Tunes - Providing a safe alternative to headphones while performing fitness and recreational activities

They work well unless you are vacuuming or polishing.

Surely you not referring to household chores!

Looks like a well designed system:dblthumb2:---although, I believe your design may be ineffective in my case---there could be an undo attraction of your system to the ferrous matter in my head!! :D

Guys this wasn't a topic asking what headphones I need; I've already decided.

I'm trying to decide between over-ear headphones, or in-ear headphones, or none at all because it might be a bad idea when I'm trying to be professional.

I think I've only gotten about 4 relevant posts in a whole 4 page topic...

I don't see them as unprofessional as long as you are aware of when your client is around and trying to speak with you. When they come around to chat, simply take them out. When there not around put them in and get in your zone and do what you were hired to do.

Well then wear whatever the hell is comfortable to you. Why the hell even bother asking.

As far as them being unprofessional, all of my stuff is done at home in the garage. Ain't nobody around to tell me it's unprofessional. Now if I was out mobile, then either one small ear bud or nothing at all.

Sounds like you need to go on "Shark Tank," Garry. :props:

I have actually thought about that. Anthony Sullivan (infomercial guy and Billy Mays old partner) is actually based here in Tampa and this is also where they film Shark Tank and Pitchmen.

I personally prefer the in-ear headphones. Better quality, filters out the outside noise, and that helps you to stay in the zone. If you think the "look" of headphones is "unprofessional" try one of those speak docking systems, that will keep the noise you want around you, but you won't "look unprofessional." Of course then you run into the problem of "sounding unprofessional"
