I swear...I really do. I can assure you of one thing. If I wax my truck...and spend countless hours doing so...it WILL rain within 24 hours.

I check the weather forecast...slight chance of rain...ONLY spurts of it in the morning in isolated areas. THEN it will clear up after early morning and turn cooler.

Up at 8:00am...9:30..wipe truck down! 10:00..admire my work...10:15 starts raining! 10:45 - wipe truck down again...11:00 - starts sprinkling..for 10 minutes..then stops...11:30 - wipe down truck again....12:00 starts POURING...12:30 I finally come to the realization that I am wasting my time!

Some of us are slow learners!!! AARRGGHH!!!!

Cleaning our vehicles is like doing a rain dance! They never have time to stay clean.

bwahahahaha Why not consider moving to place where one gets over 200 days of sunshine in a year? Dubai hardly gets any rain. You will love waxing your car there. :P On the downside, temp in summers for few days do cross 50 C.

I live in Florida!! We do however..get rain! It isnt like it rains all day! The rain just waits...quietly...until I get done with my final brushing of the truck! Then it piddles for 10 minutes and then stops...then waits....for me to wipe it off again! A vicious cycle!

Wax in the rain :)

I did...in between rain drops!

I'm lucky to have three days before it rains..or pollen..or SOMETHING messes up my work! AARRGGHHH!!!

If you insist on, keeping on, waxing your vehicle:
Move to California...
I heard there's a drought
going on out that way. :xyxthumbs:

I wish that would happen to me.

I live in Los Angeles and I'm sure you have heard about our drought?

And that El Nino we were promised never happened either.

But at least my cars are nice and polished.

Try Kansas, where a blizzard and a tornado occur within 12 hours, the temperature swings 70 degrees in a day and has been in the - teens and hot as 115.

Today was a foregone conclusion.

Next few days, nice but cold

I'm assuming you don't have a garage or carport to protect your work.

I'm also from Southern CA, so feel free to direct your sorcery this way.

Drove around in the rain today. Got home spent 1hr cleaning g her all up then 20 minutes layering on another coat of Colinite 845 only to hear my wife needs me to take my son to karate as she has a yoga class.

Not a problem except this is what is around me now.

Let's hope it holds off on coming down.

The upside is i love my wife in yoga pants no pics will be posted though.

I am in south Fl and was lucky enough to dodge all the rain today. Which is the total opposite of how it usually turns out.

The best kind.

Just enough to dampened the vehicle & attracts all sorts of crap onto the paint. Best yet when it happens during the morning commute. Turns the road into a nice slush, just what the lower panels need. And so you sit and watch your ride all crud up with junk for the rest of the beautiful dry, sunny day.

Fantastic.

I love it when this happens.

What are you saying? El Nino is already here. Just towards the end of January it got so hot that I have to turn the car's AC on. We just hard warmest February in 6 years. Temperatures are already touching 30 C and in coming days, they might cross 30 C which is quite unusual for this time of the year. Coming summer gonna be real harsh... :O :O Last year's heat wave melted city's roads. I think this year it will turn city into a furnace.

El Nino's pattern is just becoming more unpredictable. Which is quite scary.

I was in Vegas last week. It kills me that it hardly rains there, yet people are driving around, in nice cars, that are filthy. C'mon, at least run it through the auto wash.

I try and watch the weather also if it`s going to be nice for a couple of days I will go full blown cleaning. In the Burgh here they can`t forecast the current day :(
My 1000 post :) Took me almost 5 years..

Congrats on your 100th post! :props:

In addition to the tools and chemicals being a detailers' best friend...I would also gather that many of us are constantly checking out the weather apps...so how many weather apps do you have?
