Are you going to store those in the freezer next to the steaks? :p

That is a good idea, don't waxes in general have a Very long shelf life though?

Yes I have heard some say they have had a tin for 10 years and it was still good. Well it's going to take me 10 years to finish one and I have 6 so hopefully I can keep the others from drying out so they can be resold in the far far future.

I think you should bury them in your back yard in a time capsule. :D

What is the big deal about #16?

#16 Looks great on white/light colors that’s why I love, that and not to many carnauba waxes could get you through a winter for under $13 when it was readily available. That and it has a nostalgic background (started in the early 50's) with the crayon smell, metal tin that needs to be pried off (old school).

Did Megs stop making it or something?

IIRC, Megs #16 was no longer VOC compliant as other great products that were discontinued such as PO85RD also i think the old WG Sptitz was reformulated for this same reason and during the WG reformulation a better and more durable product was produced..

I have one can of it, its a little harder to work with than other, but it does give amazing result on light colored cars, I think I've seen some can still at autoparts stores, I might have to go pick them up. I first thought it was for darker colors since it had a blue tint to, but on my white is just seams to have a gloriuos glow to it.

What the difference between megs. #26 and #16?
I went looking today for 16, (to sell some on e-bay) :D found 26, don't know the difference. Something to do with VOC!

If I can't find another can of it I think I might just have to vac seal mine too, keep it likes it a collector of a fine wine.

#26 can give a dark colored car a nice wet look with decent durability, whilst #16 add nothing to a vehicle but a nice glow and durabilty is awesome. Also so from what I read #26 is a hybrid being half sealant half carnuaba (don't quote me on that).

since when did they stop producing it and how much was it when it was available? so what if its not VOC compliant? make detailers addicted to it or something like meth. :)
