Tonya, do yourself a big favor and buy a PC.....you'll be blown away by the results compared to doing it by hand, although you did an excellent job and the car looks great! You're a good student:cheers:
Thanks for the leg compliment! ;)
I have been afraid of the PC, worried I will screw something up, burn the clear coat or something. After realizing just how much work goes into a detail. I might just get over that fear! :D

Awesome work Tonya :D haha yes you did the cool Sparkie Croc Shot! Those metallics are just popping!
Thanks Klumzypinoy! I really didn't capture the flecks very well. I Kept trying different angles but it just didn't capture right. To bright of a day or something.

I get to pin the AG badge on her .... me me me !!

Tonya, couple of hints. Klasse SG is bulletproof but a pain in the keister. Use a small travel size spray bottle and literally one spritz per panel. WOWO immediately without allowing to dry. If you get a stubborn spot, respritz and rewipe immediately.

Did sparkie paint his toes and pose for your picture? ;)

funny, I too started to think of Sparkie when I saw that shot :D

I'm trying out my PC for the first time this weekend Tonya - I'll let you know how scary it is, but I think it should be ok. Plus we are trying to resurrect a buddy's truck which is pretty bad, so that makes it a little less scary.

What the....! The directions say and I quote Allow to dry, then wipe off with dry cloth.
You me to tell me I could have wiped on then wiped off while it was still wet? You said "If you get a stubborn spot, repritz and rewipe immediately" the entire freaking car was stubborn! Are you just messing with me?
I busted my butt getting that off by hand after it dried. Man.... that stinks.
Oh well, it's done now. I guess I will know for next time.

Yep, you wiped the protection right off! Time to start over:eek:

j/k, of course:D There are different methods of using different products and Klasse is one of those that has been experimented with in search of an "easier" way to use it, hence the wipe on/wipe off method. Pinnacle Souveran and Max Wax are wo/wo products, but you "can" let them haze before removing, but it's easier not to. There is nothing scary about the PC at all, ask Lauren, and it WILL NOT damage your finish, unless you drop it or bang it against your finish:). It's a random orbit polisher, in which the entire pad moves like your hand(mimics the movement)--in little circles. A rotary, on the other hand, CAN burn your paint/clearcoat if you don't know what your doing. It just spins at high RPM, which creates a lot of heat. Just remember, if you get a PC or UDM, start at slower speeds(1-3), then move up the speed as you get used to it. It's a hell of a lot easier than doing it by hand, I promise you that!!!!!

GREAT JOB Tonya! The toes and the wave hello shots brought a big grin to this old man.

Silver is tough...but it looks like you have the process down pretty good.

I've got a private client car to do this weekend....some kind of giant Mercedes 4 door AMG sedan with a supercharged engine...high buck car and he wants it done "just so"...and, it's black of course.

Anyhow, congrat's on the detail...very nice.

Yes I could have used the ARO first. However, Dan always says try the less aggressive product first, which is the DP. I will continue to use the DP going forward. Since I applied the glaze they should be easier to clean that way there is no need for the ARO.;)

I gotcha, again nice job:applause:

this isnt one of those wife/husband posts, where I should just nod and pretend not to have been listening ??? ;)

You can use Klasse SG your way, and as a woman your always right ! But in playing with the product I have found a couple of well established tricks that can be used to make it bearable and yet just as durable.

:D Looks great Tonya, congrats!! Im glad we could help you out. Sparkie and Al are great guys to be taking advice from! Keep up the good work! And feel free to PM me anytime, Im sure the same goes for Sparkie and Al.

And now that you've cleaned them up and protected them with DP, youll only need regular car soap to clean them.

It all look great, the car, the woman behind the camera, the toes&legs and what not.

Great work, a machine will make it easier for you. I have worked by hand too a long time ago but my arms back then....I know the feeling.

Best regards Daniel
