Great idea!! I have some old volleyball knee pads I use when gardening. I didn't even think about using them Hind sight is always 20/20 ~THANKS!

Next time you might give DP Sealant or Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant a go. They are very easy to use. I think you made the right choice with the Max Wax. That is a great wax that is so easy to use and looks grand on silver.

The picture of Sparkie's toes painted is going to give me a nightmare.
