I have been seeing photos of the success folks are having with Jeff Werkstat products to gain gloss especially on white or light colored vehicles. Of course, this is on properly corrected and smooth paint surfaces.

Products I am considering are:
A)Prime
B) Acrylic Jet Trigger
C) Acrylic Glos
D) Werkstat Autobody Wash

I have several questions regarding his products (a version of Prime, Acrylic Jet Trigger and Acrylic Glos)

1) On a fully corrected vehicle would you recommend using Prime or Prime Acrylic?
2) How many applications can you get out of a 500 ml or 16 oz bottle of prime?

3) How many applications can you get from a 500 ml or 16 oz bottle of acrylic jet trigger?
4) Can acrylic jet trigger be used after washing to regain that fresh sharp look or is it better to use Acrylic Glos?

5) How many applications can you get from a 500 ml or 16 oz bottle of Acrylic Glos?

6) Is the autobody wash necessary with this system or will other washes work fine?

Thank You!

one person who has used werkstat products for a very long time is scottwax, try asking him over at the other autopia forum...

I'd love to hear some feedback on these products as well.

Can you give us some feedback please?

Some information I already have (not first hand - I have been researching but have not bought them yet):
- Prime Strong is the most powerful of the Prime items. It has a very good cleaning capability and adds some protection;
- you have the Acrylic and the Carnauba lines - for light coloured cars, if you do not need Prime Strong (if your car is properly corrected, as you state) you should use all the Acrylic line (Prime, Jett Trigger, Glos);
- after wash, Acrylic Glos is enough to add gloss and some protection. But of course, you can layer Jett Trigger;
- Auto Body Wash is not needed in the system but probably the best choice since it was developed alongside the rest of the line. It is highly rated among its users.

Of course, what car care products' line-up an individual opts to purchase/use is of a personal nature...But,

-Since Jeff Werkstatt's 'acrylic' line-up of car care products are said to be in the same family of acrylic-polyaminosiloxanes/polyethylene-acrylics as is Klasse's 'acrylic' car care products...

...I prefer to purchase and use the Klasse-Family.
-Less confusion
-More cost effective in the long run.
-Using an: Out-of-the-acrylics-family, good quality car wash shampoo, would be acceptable, IMO, for car wash sessions for vehicles whereupon
Klasse's acrylic-products have been applied.
-Afterwards, if so desired, use of an acrylic-based "detail-spray/detail-wax" may just indeed enhance a vehicle's appearance.
a.) Sonus': Acrylic Spritz/Acrylic Glanz or...
b.)1. One tbsp KHGSG:8 oz Meguiar's Quik Detailers = detail-spray
b.)2. 1/4 cup KHGSG:8 oz. Meguiar's Quik Detailers = detail-wax

Only thing I have ever used is the Jett Trigger. Used on my jet skis simply because it was easy. I then however discovered DG 501 and the application is almost as easy and it's half the price so I no longer use it. Worked fine, was simple to apply, held up ok, I reapplied a lot. Used it for a couple of seasons and still had about 1/3 a bottle left (2 jet skis applied all over everywhere 5 to 6 times a year for 2 years). I gave the rest away.

I used Prime and AJT on my silver Mustang before I got into Blackfire. They are good products-easy to use. The really amp up the shine on lighter colors. If you keep your paint in good shape, you could get the Prime Acrykic.

A= That is up to you, personal preference, I prefer PRIME STRONG
2) How many applications can you get out of a 500 ml or 16 oz bottle of prime?
A= LOTS

3) How many applications can you get from a 500 ml or 16 oz bottle of acrylic jet trigger?
A= Not as much as the non spray products, but if you use it correctly and put it on very thin, one bottle goes a long way.
4) Can acrylic jet trigger be used after washing to regain that fresh sharp look or is it better to use Acrylic Glos?
A= yes, but it is cheaper to use the Acrylic Glos, thats what Acrylic Glos was made for.
5) How many applications can you get from a 500 ml or 16 oz bottle of Acrylic Glos?
A= A LOT
6) Is the autobody wash necessary with this system or will other washes work fine?
A= You dont have to use their Auto Wash, but it is a very good economical wash that wont strip wax.

A long time ago, on a forum, far, far away, there was the story of the European company that makes the Klasse products (only sold as Klasse here in the US and I think one other country--some sort of exclusive marketing arrangement for Klasse), and how they came out with an updated line of products ("nano") and decided that they were going to give the exclusive marketing of those products to someone else (other than Klasse). Upshot is the JW products are the "new" versions of the Klasse products.

Of course, any of us can purchase what we'd like, however, the newer versions would seem to be good reason to purchase one over rthe other...of course then we'd lose the enjoyment of buying from Autogeek.

I'll give everyone a short description and my thoughts however this is not an endorsement for these products...

Werkstat Prime - This is a 1-step product that cleans, polishes, and protects. It does a nice job removing oxidation and minor surface defects leaving a brilliant, glossy shine and some superb protection. This is similar to Klasse All-In-One but with better correction ability.

Werkstat Prime Strong - Prime Strong incorporates acrylic polymers for better durability and protection and also an incrementally stronger polishing agent to address more paint imperfections. Because it's formulated with additional micro-abrasives, it can even address light marring and swirls more effectively.

Everything about Prime Strong is just more heavy duty. Even the protective sealant provides a more long lasting protection than it's little brother Prime.

Werkstat Acrylic Jett Sealant - is a pure acrylic polymer sealant that protects like a layer of plastic, much like Klasse High Gloss Paint Sealant. I was very impressed with this product and it's designed as a system to be used together similar to the Klasse twins.

I applied this with my Porter Cable dual action polisher. It laid down smoothly and easily without issue and once hazed buffs off effortlessly.

Werkstat Acrylic Jett Trigger Sealant - This is simply a spray-able version of the sealant above. Spray it on and spread with a Microfiber or foam pad. Allow to haze and buff to a gorgeous glossy shine.

What I like about these products is their ability to layer without degrading or removing the proceeding coats of sealant....

Werkstat products are awesome. I tried them for the first time just a few months ago. Holding up very good so far.

How is that any different than talking about how great the product is?

Because it's not directly sending people to a competing site...fine line...I believe under the rules we're not supposed to talk about products at all that aren't sold here...but it's usually tolerated as long as there are no links or people being sent directly to competing sites.
