Werner platform on Sale?

I just picked one of these up today at home depot for $40. Its been great so far. I'm not tall so it works well for doing work on the roof. I used to stand on tires or flip over a 5 gallon bucket and never felt safe. Also has been doubling as a nice work bench to keep equipment and supplies when im not using it for the roof. 225lb weight limit so weigh yourself first :props:

Hey guys, checked out a blck friday website ad scan for home depot and the platform is on sale for $17 in store only

They got this crazy awesome platform at Costo called a Durabench. It holds up to 500lbs and has everything but a color TV on it:

This thing is built like a tank and slightly bigger than the Werner platform. The legs are adjustable to different heights. Its a bit heavy. I'd pick it up, but I don't have to room to store it.

For those without an army to feed that aren't costco members, Home Depot appears to carry the same one at the same price, Vika brand. Pictures look almost identical aside from the color scheme.

i bought one of those durabench ones they work well ...heavy though.

I would rather pay $17 for the werner, $4 for a multiple socket outlet and $1 for a plastic tool tray and save $128

That thing isn't a Werner platform. It's like comparing a Mercedes to a Yugo. If you saw it in person, you would see the difference.

What's the difference besides the what I pointed out with the tool and bit holder along with the sockets? ( I don't weigh more than 250)

12" wide vs. 24" wide. It might not matter to some people, but 12" is barely a stair tread. You can't stagger your feet. I currently use a step stool and I often lean into the handle because of the narrow width. 24" width would give me enough space to stagger my feet. It's also 1.5 times as long so you won't be moving it as much while working. Whether that's worth the expense is up to you, I'm just here to point out the differences.

I can see older people but a young guy like me can adjust to working with anything. That's just what I do, I make use of it. I could never justify an extra $133 for it.

I'm the type where if I was rich I'd still get something like a civic because it's all you need.

Really? If you had several million $$$, you would drive a Civic? What would you do with all that money? World hunger? Cancer research? Help the homeless?

I would drive something practical and the civic is the most practical I can think of.

Idk what I would do but I wouldn't give it to charity, or world hunger or cancer research or help the homeless.

I am reviving this thread since black Friday is just around the corner.
I looked on Lowe's and HD's web page and didn't find a deal on the Werner platform, if someone finds a good deal on it please share.
Thanks!
