The water based tire shines are better for the rubber. The oil and silicone leaves a slimy nasty film on the rubber. I love my Croftgate tire shine.
 
Surprised no one has talked about prep. Ensure you clean tires very well before applying any dressing. It is the key to dressing endurance imo.

Meguiars Endurance Tire Gel and C.A.R Products Intense Tire Gel are amazing.
