WETS on Wheels

I have both of these products and I have to agree. I actually need to reapply WETS and cockpit premium. They both produce fantastic results! I'm really a big fan of Wolfgang products.

I'm happy some others have suggested their stuff, cause it's Cool indeed!

And a nice affirmation on the quality of their products from you as well 11Silverado.

WG 3.0 is going to be my next product going on the car, and we'll see how she fairs.

Peace!

Now that I've got the photos down on the site, I will post weekly to bi-weekly updates of the WETS on my tires to see how she goes.

Hmmmm. Since WETS is a "sealant", would I be able to top it with 845 if I wanted to? If so, I'm going to give it a try since I own both. I might try it anyway.

TacoRun, I totally wish I had the answer to that, but I'm so new to this detailing thing that I don't know. Hopefully someone else will chime in to help you out with that. It sounds like a really cool idea though. If it works out, I'm sure that would be some pretty tough protection.

I'm pretty new myself. Someone will chime in, or like I said maybe I'll try it myself and post the results. I think you brought it to some peoples attention that WETS could be great for wheels. Let the experiments begin lol.

Yes. You could put 845 over WETS. Most wax however will not last long on wheels due to the temp the wheels get up to.

On wheels I much prefer CarPro dLux. Last 18-24 months and makes cleaning easy.

You'll love WG 3.0 sealant as well. Be sure to apply it in a thin layer. It wipes off super easy and leaves a slick surface. I easily get 6 months out of mine, but my truck is only driven on the weekends so it's never been exposed to complete daily driving.

Sorry, I might not have explained this correctly. I certainly don't expect WETS to last anywhere near the length of time any of the coatings or other products like McKee's 37 Tire Coating, M37 Wheel Coating, nor Dlux offer.

And I don't believe WETS claims to ever last as long as those products. I simply wanted to share some of the diversity I was finding with the product on my own car.

"Just for fun, and out of simple curiosity" I wanted to see how long WETS would last on the different surfaces of my car.

So far, I love the appearance of it on my tires and trim, and the slick feeling it has on my wheels, and how dirt just comes right off my tires and wheels when washing them with no grime sticking. How long this will last, I don't know. Maybe not long at all. But I'm willing to enjoy the process in whatever I find out.

Thank you all!

I also wanted to apologize, because as I looked back at my before photos of my exterior trim and tires, I noticed that those are actually my PRE-cleaned tires and trim, and NOT cleaned as I posted.
