I know the general feel around here is that we should experiment and develop our own preferences. But where do I start?

If I do half of my black car with one, half with the other, could my untrained eye notice the difference?

In a "double-blind" test...(sorry):
I know that I would be hard pressed to tell the
difference just by looking at the "finished products".

But I would sure know the differences between
these two products during their application/removal
processes...especially with the Collinite #845---if it
wasn't applied as thin as a whisper!!

What are you trying to determine? Which one looks better? Which one lasts longer?

Again for me Wolfgang 12 hour cure time kills me on my truck so I Use 845. On the other the wife's car get WG sealant.:buffing:

Pretty sure DG601 is only made to be used with other DG products. You probably could try and use it with other similar compounds, but that's a risk.
