Ok, for anyone that was around when the Wright brothers first flew at Kittyhawk, and Henry Ford had only made about a hundred cars, and when paint sealants/waxes were popular..........:laughing:

Anyway, I have obtained some WG Fuzion and plan on topping the WGDG with it.

Any old-timers remember how this combo performed for you?

I used the combo. Wasn’t the paste Fuzion, it was the liquid/spray version. Best looking for sure, much more depth than a coating. Paint really looked good. Got about 8 months of protection.

Thanks, Bruno. The Fuzion I have is the full-on paste Concours Series.

I’ll be watching this thread very carefully since I just applied Wolfgang Sealant not too long ago and I’m a huge fan of Waxes. So far I’ve been very impressed with WGDPS, especially the self cleaning ability in the last few days.

Fuzion Paste looks very cool and I’ve heard great things about it so I’ll be watching.

I am set on using this combo, but just wanted to hear opinions from my AG brothers & sisters.

Another thing I will do is use Collinite 476s over the WGDG on half of my roof for a little "drag race" of the two...... ;)

I Have been using the combo on my 4 year old M4 for 3 years and it knocked it out of the park for wet look gloss and holds up decent (at 6 months I reapply WGDGS) but do top it monthly with Fuzion spray. I keep saying I will change over to ceramic coating ( IS350 I coated) but not going to do the M4 as the looks are awesome

I did the exact thing some years ago. It looked great.
How long did it last, you ask....forever.
I topped the WGDG during summer and let it ride. I probably recoated in October for winter with WGDG or 845

I use Fuzion all the time on my driver. I love the depth. When I see it fading, I just re do the car. I last did it in November and it’s about due soon.

I bet it will be even better. The paste wax was a little too expensive for me, and it would last forever. I had plans on going ceramic so the jar would just sit in a cabinet. Even my bottle of the spray wax I only used once and then posted it on the Samples thread. No one tried to trade with me so it’s still in my cabinet.

Honestly I have and still use this combo rather often. It always looks amazing. I’m not a sealant fan but WGDGPS is something special for sure. Then top it with fusion and boom. You get the deep rich look of a quality wax and the high gloss of a sealant without the plastic type look.

Durability has always been impressive but I feel that comes from the sealant. Wait 24 hours to apply wax over the sealant if possible

Please share your thoughts when you do this.

The thing I really like about both these products is that application and removal are super easy and streak free. Great for softer paints because they limit the chances of towel marring.

I’ve only ever used fusion paste wax on its own and it was really nice. And the smell, so intoxicating. I had a mini jar of the stuff and flew through it. Looking forward to your results.

I still have my container of Fuzion. I may throw that over my Opti-seal this week.

So, I recall an old thread or two where some people didn’t like the mix of DGPS + Fuzion, but it was pretty unanimous that everyone loved each on their own. This is back when I would just read hundreds of old threads in my spare time, kind of a research period when I was deciding where my money would go, what combos I would try, what synergy products I would combine with each LSP.

The thought process that I recall from this thread was that DGPS is so shiny/sparkly (my words) and Fuzion is so smooth that they, in part, canceled each other’s strong points in the opinion of some. From that perspective, I can see it making some sense.

Anyways, I ended up trying this combo on the brilliant black Q5 paint. It absolutely did change the look. It smoothed things out, made it more rich, more deep. But Fuzion isn’t like Souveran, it still maintains some of that ‘bling’ shine that DGPS does so well, while also imparting the more waxy characteristics. I liked the Fuzion on top more than DGPS alone. My wife liked the DGPS alone mire, but it should be noted that she claims that was the second beat looking LSP she’s seen on her paint, and there has been at least 20-25 different LSPs I’ve used on it. I think she just likes that sparkly, bling look (like diamonds).

Here’s 2 old pics I found of DGPS, couldn’t find any with Fuzion on top.

I’m going to assume that this LSP-combo
will be going on this vehicle:

If so...
For some reason thinking of the results your
Truck will have wearing those two products

I machine apply it with my Rupes Mini and a 4" blue or black pad, I butter the pad with a putty knife. It goes a long way and nice and thin.

Do you wipe every panel or two as you go, or do you apply to the whole car and then buff away?

Ok, if Mark used the combo I'm SOLD!! Lol

That looks incredible man.

The Ram has a hint of metallic (Mineral Gray Metallic is the paint name) and hoping it pops the hell out of it. :)
