Feeling the need to take advantage of today's sale.
I use to be a fan of the cyclo pads back in the day.
Is this a good choice for use on the 7336 with a 3.5"bp?

If not, then which pads?

Q2. What's the best bp for 6.25" Optimum MF pad as far as dissipating heat?

are you looking for foam Vegas? then I'd go with LC hydrotechs.

as far as the bp goes....I don't use pads that size but dosen't Optimum make a bp that size? I would use theirs.

I find Cyclo 4" pads work for me the best.

Yes, foam.

Well...I guess that I'll order both. I really did like the 4"cyclo.
Looking for a 6"bp for rotary to spin the 6.25" mf pads. Guess that I'll go with LC bp.
The optimum bp is 7" I do believe. Thanks Tim.

Thanks.
Where have you been hand?

I called myself looking on both sites, but I've been at the keyboard ALL day and am now rushing to get the order off.

Also, I want to get more use from the PC 7336 that I bought off Craigslist a few months ago.

I here ya!

Vegas optimum makes a 6" bp for rotary and I think ag sells a adapter from rotary to da......let me look around for you
here you go

D.A Adapter 5/8" X 11

I see the 6" at the OPT store now.
But I wanted to order from AG to take advantage of the sale.

EDIT: D.A Adapter 5/8" X 11 in the cart. Thanks. Will get the OPT 3" & 6" bp's in Dec when I put in my large OPT order.

I believe the Cyclo 4" pads are made by Buff and Shine.
They look the same, they feel the same.

I find the Cyclo pads to outlast any other 4" pads on the market. If you'll be getting yellow cutting pads in your order, make sure you in fact get the cutting pads and not the yellow scrubbing pads. They're good for scrubbing but not so good for cutting. The orange pads seem to me that they cut better than the yellow cutting pads. Dunno.

The Cyclo pads don't lose their velcro like a lot of other pads do.

Thanks Dave. I'm only getting 2 orange and two yellow for now.

Procrastination will be the death of me...guess I'll have to order online instead of by phone.

You're welcome VT, I found a local joint that sells them for a bang up deal. I get like 40 at a time in assorted colors.

10-04...I got mine from the AM guy back when I was using that tool.
It dawned on me the other day that I had posted recently about not using a da before landing here at AGO...never really put them together.

If it didn't come from Megs, AM, HD, or otc...then I didn't know about it.

First of the year, austerity measures will be in force in our household...lol. Going big, or going home from now til Xmas.

Dr.G. better hurry up and release the new products. Or I'll have to wait til spring to get all I'm :drool:over.

Hi VT...

Optimum does have their 5" backing plates available.

I can send you a PM if you want me to.

:)

Bob

Thanks FUN. This is what happens when I rush things. Not to mention the 1 painpill I took today. On top of the 4 from yesterday.
My OCC order is saved on a printscreen photo. Just waiting to add the new releases.
The AG wishlist timed out. So I'm scrambling to remember what was on there.
OCC price matches AG, so all of my large OPT orders come from Tennessee.

The 7336 leaves much to be desired, so that's why I'm getting the smaller bp/pads...to get more use out of the machine. Almost surgical buffing. Next month when I get the smaller OPT bp, I can use it on the rotary. For now the 7336 will be set up with the LC plate that I'm ordering. The Rotary primarily for 6.25 mf's, Xp primarily for the 5.25 mf and 5.5 foam on the Cayenne. One 849 back up, the other aluminum only.

Speaking of aluminum, the 71 Chevy wheels were toasted when I saw them Fri. - tire degreasing APC overspray...lol.
He also had parts of the wire harness pulled out. Something about the fuel pump running constantly. Said my hello's, loaded my gear and back to Charlotte - the old lady wasn't playing.

I love the performance of these pads...I thought that they ironed out this issue in '09.

Bad luck...bad timing. New pad, never used

I was viewing this thread http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...9895-3-inch-backing-plate-4-inch-pad-gg6.html when I went out to the garage to compare the 3.5" da bp and 3.75" rotary bp when I noticed this.

I don't know whether to call customer service and return these 8 pads, or just rip the velcro from each one and re-glue them all

I've got a couple of weeks before a simple cleanup, polish, seal on this for a family friend
