I say let it go now. You have both made your points. I quit reading after a few posts. As Killr said, take back to between the two of you and resolve it on your own.

Whether or not you get it resolved, please stick around. You may find that a little more than the cost of a couple of details, you could set yourself up to do it yourself. The good people here will help you resolve any issues you may encounter.

Correcting and polishing your paint can be very easy and very rewarding. I even enjoy it as a release from real life. I deal with life and death daily at work. Coming home and spending the weekend focusing on my car makes a lot of that stress go away.

Either way, good luck getting your problem resolved. BTW, was it not something the factory warranty would cover (the stress cracks)?

I read the post from the start and it was informative at first because many of us have never heard or seen such a thing. After reading that thread I took extra caution in checking plastic bumpers just in case something of this sort happened. Whether it was faulty paint or user error I will never know, but this is why I insure my company just in case something happens.

Towards the end I noticed it got somewhat heated. If those "heated post" are deleted then I think the thread can be useful so people can take caution when doing such jobs.

I hope everything gets resolved peacefully.

Can a mod bring back the thread and just lock it? I'm sure there was some good info in there. That will help deter from this happening again.

I will only make one post here bc I really wanted to stay away from it all day- I didn't want to start anything. The only reason I ever posted that thread was one so other people would be aware of something like this happening(I remember Rasky posting a problem somewhat similar once) and 2 I had never dealt with something like this and I needed some advise from people that have. I didn't post that to go behind the owners back and bad mouth him and I don't believe once did I say so. Lots of people said they thought you knew there was a problem with it to begin with and I backed you up and said I don't believe he did know. I had even referred you to the site so I figured you could see it one day- I considered sending you the link so you could see what was being said. I am a new business owner and I will make mistakes and some of the things I do some may not agree with. The reason it may have been deleted was bc I was getting upset. Usually I can keep my composure but last night it started to slip.

This was my one and only post in this thread and if you want to bad mouth me some more feel free, I won't respond.

Oh and Flash, thanks for the warm welcome!:xyxthumbs:

Got some more of my car done thanks to you, bud! MF system took care of oxidation on my rear bumper, with a little bit of effort.

I agree as well. I'm new to this business and upon reading the beginning of that thread, It made me think about paying more attention. I think it's a highly useful thread for the new guy. Just the other day, I was with a customer and this thread came into mind. I did a walk around with the customer and guess what? Low and behold, there was a tiny nick on the bumper where I could see the paint separating and forming a pocket of air under the paint. I informed the customer of this and went about my business making sure that I didn't cause any more damage....

:iagree: Good point. Lessons I learned? Do thorough walk-around with client and be prepared to pay for mistakes.

I don't understand "if you want to bad mouth me some more feel free"? I was just saying it shouldn't of been deleted because this stuff can be helpful to new business owner. Everyone makes mistake and it should be made well aware to new comers.

My intent was not to make this about me or my own stresses. To answer your question, I am a Physician Assistant in Cardiothoracic Surgery (heart and lungs). I manage patients in the post surgical ICU. I work with a great surgeon and he has the ultimate responsibilty. I am, however, still required to make decisions that can drastically affect the outcome for a patient.

Back to the original topic, let's just drop it. Lessons learned for all. Hopefully it can be fixed to satisfy both parties. Time to move on and get back to discussing which is the best polisher or wax again.

There's exactly why all the information was laid out...not for (2) parties to settle on a public forum, but to lay out the truth and hopefully help others (OK, so I would be stretching the truth if I didn't say that it was maybe a side benefit was to "assist" with getting this resolved)

Unfortunately, It will not be dropped in my eyes - I am dealing with it and provided information for others. Still awaiting satisfaction on this side...

Also, no discrespect intended, but this is the off topic forum and this post is in the correct place. There are quite a few other categories on this forum for discussion on polishes and wax's:props:

This post, as I have read - helps others. I have kept it clean and not "bad mouthing" anyone...there are plenty other media outlets for that...
