I say let it go now. You have both made your points. I quit reading after a few posts. As Killr said, take back to between the two of you and resolve it on your own.
Whether or not you get it resolved, please stick around. You may find that a little more than the cost of a couple of details, you could set yourself up to do it yourself. The good people here will help you resolve any issues you may encounter.
Correcting and polishing your paint can be very easy and very rewarding. I even enjoy it as a release from real life. I deal with life and death daily at work. Coming home and spending the weekend focusing on my car makes a lot of that stress go away.
Either way, good luck getting your problem resolved. BTW, was it not something the factory warranty would cover (the stress cracks)?
