What actually happens when you top a ceramic coating with a wax or sealant?

Paint sealants like wgdgps3.0 claim dirt doesn't stick to them either but nobody ever says a wax won't stick
 
If dirt didn't stick it would be the best sealant but it does. dirt sticks to coatings too and road film etc. some might be better than other and many live where contamination is very high

You can top top and top more. It doesn't matter you just mask the coating effectiveness till the wax wears off still have the base coat of coating

I recently purchased the Wolfgang deep paint sealant and loved it! Thinking about looking into coatings, but still trying to figure them out. I want to try the McKee's 37 Hydro Blue Sio2 Coating would you top that with a sealant or wax? I get so confused with coatings, sealants and wax lol.

There no reason to top this. You just mist & rinse, super easy. It’s the easiest thing out there. Highly recommend.

While it’s not necessary to top Hydro Blue, if you really want to, you can try. I would recommend a wax since Hydro Blue is supposed to only last 3 months. If you want to try, let us know how it goes. I haven’t read any experiences of topping Blue.

IDK I was just making the point that people (me) are topping coatings to enhance the look. I don't care about the water beading or protection.

I wash 1x a week and use various sprays. Even a carnuba wax doesn't have time to wear off on my car

If you want a nice easy spray coating the can be topped with a was or sealant look no further then gtechniq liquid crystal c2v3

I just topped CQ UK with Mothers California Gold Carnauba paste wax and the depth it added to the paint is amazing. You think a coating is glossy until you return to a carnauba.

I like the combined look it's glassy and has the depth from carnuba
