What are the the top three tire shine products for a wet long-lasting look?

I get e-mails, PM's and FB messages all the time with questions that are better asked and then answered on this forum for a host of reason. One reason is more eyeballs see the questions and answers so more people are helped versus one set of eyeballs in an e-mail, PM or FB message.

John,

To my knowledge, Meguiar's Endurance Aerosol is the wettest looking tire shine on the market assuming that after you spray it onto the tire sidewall you don't touch it or wipe it.

Meguiars Endurance Tire Dressing Aerosol

I no longer use dressing but instead use coatings like the DP Tire Coating.

If I'm working on a car where the owner is currently using a tire dressing and I don't have the option to machine scrub the tires to remove all the previously applied dressing then I use the below product as it will clean, condition and dress in one-step.

BLACKFIRE All-In-One Trim & Tire Protectant

Hope that helps....

:)

1. Opti-bond(water based and nice gloss/sheen) applied with a brush or air gun straight.

Not personal favorites but will use on customers/family cars.

2. Megs Endurance gel for the people want a long lasting high gloss dressing.

3. Meguiars Hyper Dressing for the multiple dilution ratios to get the desired look for the discerning client.

And my coating of choice is Turtle Wax tire coating

Are "long lasting" and "wet looking" mutually exclusive properties?

Maybe I've not used the right products, but anything I've used which produced a wet look either slung off, attracted dust, or disappeared at the first sign or moisture.

Products I've used which provided any sort of longevity have been those which provided a dark natural look.

Tuf Shine Tire Clearcoat.

It's the shiniest I could find that has no sling and lasts.

I will agree with you Mike about the Meguiars Endurance aerosol being very wet looking. My only downside is that it slings a bit.

I have really liked the Blackfire Total Eclipse tire dressing. Gives a nice wet look and doesn't sling. Only downside is the longevity is a bit low.

Meguiars all season dressing works well and is pretty economical in the gallon size.
