What are you all using to pre soak for a rinseless wash? Is there a specific otomizer or pump sprayer that will make the job easier? What do you guys recommend?

Thanks

Autogeek Chemical Resistant Pressure Sprayer with Double Barrel Extension

The above will do, but I also have a smaller 16oz sprayer for taller section/roof as the larger sprayer tend to be awkward & heavy for that type of situation.

I don't have the Autogeek sprayer yet. So, I can't compare. I have a Tolco and some Solo hand pumps.

After you try the Autogeek, if you find it takes too long to pump up (worst trait of the Solo) try a Tolco.

If you find you want a finer spray, try the Solo (It's best trait. It will lay down a fine mist that sticks to the paint without running. It rivals a trigger sprayer with more coverage in considerably less time and effort.))

I think hand pumps are better than trigger sprayers for most situations - just more pricey. I have probably 5-6 hand pumps and would like 2-3 times more than that. All in due time.

I'm convinced that if a vehicle is dirty
enough to require a pre-soak...then that
"pre-soak" (I'll call it a pre-RW spraying)
really needs to be done via a free-flowing
water source; i.e.: a hosing-off.

Nah, if it didn't need a pre soak then the car could be done with a simple "quik detailer"

I sneak in a quick hose rinse first then pull in to the garage to do the rinseless wash

Invest in some halfway decent microfiber towels and you won't have to do that... Lol. J/k:)

Presoaking is really for "a peace of mind." Not really necessary for a week's worth of dry commute or upper panels. Usually lower sections get most of the spraying before the towels hit.

I will be rinsing the road salt off at a super wash 3 blocks from my house. The presoak is just extra lube and me being anal. Maybe that sentence sounded bad...lol. Wisconsin winters are hard on vehicles. Just trying to avoid scratches and marring the best I can.

Yea... That sounded Really bad! Lmao.

I have been using pre-soak for parrot diarrhea and bugs. The bugs get sprayed first with bug-off then i spray that and the parrot mess with pre-soak . After that is out of the way and the contaminated microfiber is set aside the rest is business as usual. It really gives peace of mind to know that the rough stuff is off the paint and will not get on my micro wash mit or pad during the rest of the wash. This is a daily driver that is not perfect but looks that way to most who do not have a inspection light.

Where do you live that you have an ample amount of parrots flying around, and what makes you an expert to know it's parrot feces and not something else?

I have a pump sprayer for pre-soaking that has been collecting dust. ONR and the big red sponge has been working great for me with no need for a pre-soak. No marring or scratching noticed.

Thanks. I'll add it to my cart.

I'm using this one, too. Primarily for some additional lubrication, as you suggested. It works just fine-- it gets a lot more solution out more quickly than a trigger sprayer. Not really a fine mist. More of a soaker.

I may have to pick one up on your suggestion. Those sponges just look like scratch city.

The key is to rinse it out before each use and clean it out. It's also important to note that no pressure is needed just like if one one using microfiber towels or a wash mitt as part of their rinseless wash set up.

I rub it against the grit guard in my bucket to loosen up any debris that may be in the sponge. I use it on my dad's car that has gloss coat, one of mine that is coated. my uncles corvette that I recently gloss coated and my mom's which has PBL V2 coating. No scratches on either one or marring from the sponge.

I need to take a video just to show how it works out and how easy it is to use.

I would imagine you use 2 buckets with the red sponge.
You might still convince me!!
